PSA is really gouging as of late. Odd that a company that thinks it shit doesn't stink is so flagrantly wiping its ass with its customers money. I'm sure Betsy Ross would approve them price gouging during the American revolution.... Oh they only care about history when it's engraved on a lower receiver.
I don’t want to call it price gouging since all prices are up a bit. I will call it over priced though! And PSA as a whole is trash these days, save yourself the hassle of patronizing them.
PSA has lost their minds. Thanks for price gouging!
nice to see they are price gouging by marking this up 65% higher that what it used to be
Did Beer Flu make aluminum and steel and machine time 30% more expensive? This is Colt price for Palmetto, guys. This is a $499 gun. I get it if you waited too long but if you don’t need it, hold off for awhile until prices get better.
I get supply and demand but $300 more than a year and a half ago is excessive.
Free Shipping on this deal is incorrect.
Palmetto has stated that they will NOT honor any free shipping deals from gun.deals without a promo code.
EDITED: The OP has corrected the Palmetto posts and removed free shipping info.
It's a good deal for a beginner pistol. I have the lower on one of mine. It's a hunk of milled aluminum, If you pay more it's because you want a cute stamp on it. Its a ready rifle for $500. Quit listening to people gripe.
Do I need any special paperwork to own this?I always wanted an AR pistol but dont want any trouble with the local PoPo here in Georgia
Not that this probably matters anymore, but I'm not seeing anything on Georgia's books that should get you into any trouble. The only thing I can think of is if you wanna put a vert grip on it's too short. You can always reach out to your local pd, but they are not always informed as you'd hope they'd be.
Correct, the law views this as a "pistol" so there is barrel length requirement.
I am sitting staring at this in my cart....can't decide yea or nay. I have a near identical Radial however the adjustable brace looks sweet. I was going to pull the trigger but the sales tax is angering me!
Note about previous post: I meant "NO" barrel length requirement however I gather you figured out what I was trying to say.
Yes I did, thanks for answering. Was pretty sure but now days with laws changing on what is and isn't on a regular.
Holy smokes.... for this price, this is a really good deal for what you get. If it hadn't been for all the other purchases I've made lately, I'd be all over this.
Bought it on a Thursday and was delivered the following Monday. Didn't know it shipped until my FFL called to come pick it up. Order still says processing on their site. PSA is really hit or miss on their shipping but they usually have good enough deals to make it worth your time to check them out.
Like kh8834 stated exactly the same as a normal AR however some timid shooters might be thrown by the much louder nature of shooting out of a 10" barrel.
What is the difference between this and this one here https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-10-5-carbine-length-5-56-nato-1-7-nitride-lightweight-m-lok-classic-sob-pistol-516447162.html.... They’re both 10.5 and $500.
At a quick glance, this one has a Magpul MOE pistol grip (instead of classic), a different pistol brace, and enhanced polished trigger. Compare the descriptions for further details. My guess is this one is a better value at 500, but I haven't compared with scrutiny and I could be wrong.
they have deals going now for the parts kits minus the lower that can save you 100's
I got the PSA 7.5" ar with brace for $499. Fun as hell to shoot and reliable. For a CQB why not.
I’ve owned 6 psa ars. I usually build but the last few I’ve got have been great guns for me. Just got this one in yesterday and it’s nice.
anyone owns this gun? how's the quality? is $550 a good buy? TIA
I have the upper; bought a couple of years ago. It's fine but nothing special. Way overgassed. You would be paying about $200 here for the lower. I wouldn't buy it but that's my opinion.
If the carbine length is way overgassed, it makes me wonder about their pistol length gas uppers. I would like to build a super short AR-15 pistol for around $500, but perhaps it's just a bad idea. Maybe I should go the AR-9 route.
Get an adjustable gas block. They can be had for fairly cheap and will make a huge difference on overgassed rifles. Anything carbine or pistol length of mine gets an adjustable without question.
I don't think it's too bad of a deal for the lower because you get that brace no?
Purchased this exact one for $499 at the end of 2018. Shame that it has gone up $320 in less than 2 years
