I remember the first time I used a wire saw, probably even crappier version of this, in fact MOST likely. I got all the way through, the first 1/3rd, of a 1 1/2" at most, limb of a maple tree. Then it broke in half. That was 30 years ago, nothing more than WIRE CUTTER marks put into a PIECE of WIRE at that time. Maybe this thing is a jewel?

Actually, pretty handy to have in the garage for those hard to get to PVC pipe jobs. I've had more than one instant where I spent an extra hour digging round a pipe just so I could use a hacksaw properly.
