Description

This red dot sight is part of our SLx optics line. SLx optics built our reputation for innovation, reliability and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.
The humble microdot is a hard-to-beat package when you want speed  without adding a lot of weight to your firearm. Add in super bright, daytime illumination, an up to 12,000-hour battery life, and our next generation ruggedized micro mount and you'll see how we're pushing the envelope for fast, lightweight optics!

The SLx 25mm Red Dot been equipped with our next generation ruggedized mounting system. We’ve upgraded everything about the mount from materials and finish to the design to create a mount that will not just clamp securely to your rail, but stand up the rigors of real-world use. Integrated recoil lugs help lock your mount in place against the heaviest recoil while large diameter crossbolts give you significantly improved clamping power and will hold up to significant torque. The included riser is the perfect height for AR-15s and AR-10s, but can be easily removed to for installation on AKs, shotguns, and more.
The SLx 25mm red dot includes the low base, a standard riser, and two different height spacers, as well as appropriate mounting hardware. With just the low base, a central height of 0.96” can be achieved. Add the standard riser for 1.41”. With the riser and thin spacer, your central height will be 1.54”. Using the thick spacer will place the optic at 1.64” height. With these options you can easily configure your optic to perfectly match your firearm and shooting style.
The ACSS CQB reticle features three BDC dots underneath the chevron, allowing an unprecedented 600 yards of bullet drop compensation for 7.62 NATO or 5.56 NATO calibers in a compact red dot sight. Auto ranging and wind leads are also incorporated into this smart reticle. A CQB horseshoe grabs the eye instantly for close quarters shooting and also approximates the spread pattern of 00 buckshot at 25 yards. The reticle for this sight is a central chevron, centered in a 65 MOA circle with four positioning points.

I received mine last week. It is a bit bigger than the holosun ACSS 503. More comparable in size to a MRO, which means bigger field of view. I def like it. Come with 2 mounts and spacers to get the exact right height. I will probably order another one at some point in the near future.

Is the reticle clear? I've yet to find a red dot that doesn't look like a star burst to my eyes. I want to like this one, but doubt it will work for me.

Do you wear glasses that correct your astigmatism so you don’t get the starburst?

I've had my eyes checked. As I'm over 40, my ability to focus on text up close has deteriorated. But I have 20/15 vision, and what the doc says is a mild astigmatism in my right eye. He says the left eye has no astigmatism. Red dots still look like star bursts instead of circles. I've tried Bushnell, Sig, and even Trijicon. Even Eotechs are fuzzy and indistinct. A little better in the bright sunlight, but not much. I don't know what the issue is. Bad luck, I guess.

The starburst is due to age-related astigmatism. You are not going to find a red dot that does not look like a burst or a comet. It is not luck, it is your eye.

Your best bet is to look into a prism-based sight (like Primary's own micro prism sights)

For me it is very crisp and clear. Its crisper than the Holosun ACSS 503 that I have. But its not etched so it may wash out for you. I think they have a mini etched version coming.

They do have a mini etched one coming! Pre-order next month for Q3. I'll wait.
