This rifle scope is part of our SLx optics line. SLx optics built our reputation for innovation, reliability and value. All SLx optics undergo rigorous field-testing during development to best serve you in any environment.

The humble microdot is a hard-to-beat package when you want speed  without adding a lot of weight to your firearm. The venerable 30mm red dot is a great option for shooters who prefer to have speed AND a wide field of view through their optic. The SLx MD-25 is here to offer the perfect balance between the two with a compact design that weighs barely 2 ounces more than a standard microdot, yet offers the same field of view as a 30mm red dot! Add in super bright, daytime illumination, an up to 50,000-hour battery life, and our next generation ruggedized micro mount and you'll see how we're pushing the envelope for fast, lightweight optics!

Features:
- Wide field of view
- Compact, lightweight, and durable
- Crisp 2 MOA red dot
- Up to 50,000 hour battery life (5+ years) at medium setting

The SLx 25mm Red Dot been equipped with our next generation ruggedized mounting system. We’ve upgraded everything about the mount from materials and finish to the design to create a mount that will not just clamp securely to your rail, but stand up the rigors of real-world use. Integrated recoil lugs help lock your mount in place against the heaviest recoil while large diameter crossbolts give you significantly improved clamping power and will hold up to significant torque. The included riser is the perfect height for AR-15s and AR-10s, but can be easily removed to for installation on AKs, shotguns, and more.
The SLx 25mm red dot includes the low base, a standard riser, and two different height spacers, as well as appropriate mounting hardware. With just the low base, a central height of 0.96” can be achieved. Add the standard riser for 1.41”. With the riser and thin spacer, your central height will be 1.54”. Using the thick spacer will place the optic at 1.64” height. With these options you can easily configure your optic to perfectly match your firearm and shooting style.

Not overly impressed with mine. Only big plus is 50k hours on a battery. It will get the job done however. Its a tad spendy imo.

Not overly impressed either. The acss reticle looks asymmetrical if your eyes can discern such details, most likely due to the emitter being on the side. I would've liked it on top or bottom so my eyes won't notice the distortion. Plus the knob on the left is huge. It's annoying. It would've been better if the knob weren't as big. Battery life is amazing. Mines been on for over a year at about 50-75% brightness and it's good.

Do you have an experience with this optic to share?

It would be cool to see a version with a circle dot or something similar to what holosun does where you can switch it to just a dot if you want.

I believe they do offer it with an acss style reticle for drop compensation

Prefer the Red Dot without motion activation - one fewer failure point. It's a good habit to change battery once a year or two.

Wish PA could come up with a higher tier Red Dot made in Japan for low $200s.

Pros. Huge viewing window, long battery life, very low price. Cons, no modern features like solar or motion activation. I'll have to think on this one

I don’t think motion activation is too important when you can leave it on for 50,000 hours (5.7 years). I’d want to replace the battery at least every couple years just to reduce the risk of battery leakage.

If you are still using alkaline batteries in your optics you missed the memo. Use Lithiums only, no more leakage issue. Your welcome.

Agreed. The more auto-on/auto-off tech there is, the more that can go wrong. Turn it on, leave it on, replace the battery every other birthday.

You make a good point.

This thing looks huge. Sucks it keeps getting pushed back and on back order.

There is a 2020 shot show YT that says they will be having a version with ACSS reticle.
I'm waiting for that. I want the horseshoe for faster acquistiuon.

Somehow PA manages to make the ugliest optics... at least my Romeo 5s are streamlined

Is the viewing window bigger than a Bushnell TRS-26 or a trijicon MRO?

Smaller. It's 25mm obj lens and the trs 26 is of course a 26mm obj lens
