Comes down to preference but in my experience 1x red dots are perfect for 300 blackout. Especially considering that the caliber really shines within 200 yards and is a great home defense weapon.

I have this on my home defense rifle. $155 is the best price I've seen this at and I'd recommend it for shore.

Just wanted to update this. It's been 3 years since I got the MD-ADS and it's still on my home defense rifle. Had to chance the battery once.

Tempted to get one on mu 300 BLK but I feel like I'll need some magnification.

The most cost effective option is the Vortex 3x magnifier with flip to side mount. It's the best of both worlds. EOTech makes a flip to side magnifier, but it's a lot more expensive.
