Description

It’s had many names in its century-old history and today, we reimagine this renowned design for modern use. Based on one of the most prolific and popular pistols in small arms history, the Springfield Armory® SA-35 gives today’s shooters a modern take on a revered design. Featuring subtle but significant upgrades to John Moses Browning’s original P-35, the 9mm SA-35 captures the appeal of the “wood and steel” era of arms making while offering the upgraded enhancements of today’s defensive pistols. Made in the U.S.A., the SA-35 features rugged forged steel parts for strength and durability, improved ergonomics and enhanced controls, modern sights, an improved feed ramp design, and an increased 15-round capacity. Configured without a magazine disconnect for a drop free magazine the SA-35 features a factory-tuned trigger with a smooth pull and crisp, clean break. Call it a legend, call it an icon, but whatever you do, don’t call it a classic.Firearm FeaturesForged frame and slide: To ensure longevity and strength, the SA-35 features a slide and frame made from rugged forgings, unlike inferior castings.Recontoured Hammer: The Springfield Armory SA-35’s hammer features improved geometry to prevent the risk of “hammer bite” to the web of the hand.Extended Thumb Safety: A subtle but significant upgrade to the SA-35 design is the use of a modernized and extended thumb safety that is easier to engage.Modern Sight Configuration: The white dot front and Tactical Rack rear sights of the SA-35 offer users an enhanced sight picture for improved performance.Checkered walnut Grips: Featuring attractive grain and finely cut checkering, the SA-35’s walnut grips complement the matte blue finish of the carbon steel.Beveled Magwell: A magwell has been machined into the frame of the SA-35 for effortless reloads.

$879 for a gun with a MSRP of $699 isn’t really much of a deal. I’d rather just buy a Girsan MC-P35 for $500 if I’m wanting a Hi-Power clone.

These pistols are arriving with severe failure to extract problems. Check youtube for videos. Springfield is going to have to figure out the problem and get it fixed. I'd wait till then to avoid the headache. Bad news for anybody buying one of these at full MSRP, but even more so for the people paying $1200+ at auction sites. Buyer beware!

Thanks for the heads up Lance - I’m looking to get one at or under the MSRP price of $699 later and the Gougers will never get my business in the future. Have a Merry Christmas and Fantastic New Year.

Just questions - If you pay up front will they make money off your payment then Jack the price up when they come in or don’t get them in for that price and cancel your order months later ?
Will they make money on interest on your payment * if you have to pay up front * then wait for you to get tired of waiting and ask for your money back?
Just wondering because Springfield Armory has a MSRP of $699 on and GOUGERS are selling them for a grand or over and people are paying the price * which I won’t they can stick it * so Why would they sell it for this price ? Maybe to clean house on interest from your payment ? Just wondering.

It’s Sportmans Outdoors SS, not Goldman Sachs. And what difference does it really make if you’re willing to put up the money to reserve one when they’re back in stock? You’ll be out the $699 either way. They could take your money and bet it all on the ponies as far as you know, they’re still obligated to ship your pistol to your FFL once it’s in stock.

I would have no concerns in dealing with Sportsmans Outdoor SS. I have been buying from them for more than a decade and they have always fair and honest. I think this deal is an example of them being a legit dealer - by not price gouging on this very in demand pistol. just my 2 cents.

I'm happy to see a site not over charging their customers for this pistol.

Love that Springfield is moving inventive ideas forward and bringing classic stuff back into the market. But for $700, I’d rather buy a CZ 75 B or similar.

I was thinking the same , especially with the extraction issues…CZ 75 B has longer track record than this remake. Will give them some time to get the kinks out…

I like the CZ 75 aswell but prefer how well these point, it's very natural like pointing your finger.

$699 is the MSRP. $1200 is hyper-inflated due to the new release and limited stock. You’ll see these back down in normal territory and below soon enough.

Exactly thats why I am going to wait for the price to go down and for all the bugs to get worked out.
