  • Took a while to break it in. Magazines had issues. The two that came with the gun still have live round stove pipes from time to time. Full review is posted here: https://rumble.com/vdpuiv-s-and-w-shield-ez-9mm-and-ez-380-table-top-and-range-review.html

Not enough capacity for a range toy (prefer 10+) and too many safeties to be a useful carry? I don't know... I do wish there were a few more options for large capacity 380s... there are only a couple available at all.

Mthwing we aren't talking about the differences, we are talking about the similarities. When you said "this many safeties" in your comment, are your not referring to the grip safety, and the thumb safety? If not, please enlighten us on the safeties you are referring to. Because if you didn't know, a 1911 has both of these. Some even have a third safety - a firing pin block.

Its an overdesigned pistol for old folks who have trouble manipulating slides on other pistols

What a dumb comment mthwing. I guess all of those people who own and carry 1911's have no business to do so.

"If a person feels like this many safeties are necessary they have no business carrying much less owning a gun. 15 minutes of training would reveal how awful an idea this is"

I’d also be willing to be that the people who’d actually buy this nonsense would be too petrified to even consider carrying with a round in the chamber so really there’s no Pont at all

Considering how completely different the 1911 is from this I’d say the dumb comment is coming from you

The large palm safety is actually pretty cool. It is kind of like a backwards P7/8 squeeze cocker, which is considered by some as one of the greatest carry guns. I have a Remington R51 that has a similar long safety on the back of the handle. It works really well. Yes lol, I actually have a functioning, reliable R51.

Good one AQj, maybe even make it a single shot automatic.

While agree with you about the redundant safeties, I think it's actually internally hammer fired.

Also the pistol is marketed towards people who can't manipulate a normal slide, I would think these types of people might also be very safety minded. If it gets more people into the 2A community, it's a win for all of us.

What the hell is this? A thumb safety and a grip safety? That makes no sense on a striker fired gun. I thought it was an interesting gun till I read the specs. No idea what they were thinking.

Maybe S&W figured there would be no way a state could ban it for not being safe & its easier for the state groomed snowflakes to use & understand.
