I had the full-sized Cabela's P320RX for almost two years with never a problem. In that time I put close to 2k rounds down range.

Cabelas is selling their gift cards for 10% off Nov. 29- Dec 1, so save another 10% when buying with gift cards. They will also have an in-store offer of $50 off firearms over $600.

Is this the same Romeo1 that sells for $399 just for itself?

I own the compact version of this in 9mm; great gun & the Romeo 1 makes it worth it - especially if you can get the military discount. It's a matter of personal taste, but a couple of things worth noting:
* Stock trigger had a heavy pull to me, I didn't Chrono it, but an Apex or Grey Ghost on this model is insanely smooth.
* The X-Carry model includes the flat, lighter trigger AND lightened slide. Might be worth the extra $100-175, depending on your tastes bc the sig aftermarket slide for this model starts at $400 ($380+ if you go Norsso).
* The compact slide fits on the FS grip module. i.e.,- 17rd mags will then sit flush
* The threaded barrel for P320c's sticks past the slide about 3/4 of an inch. Not a biggie, imo, but may be to some.
* All you need to convert to .40 from 9mm, or visa versa, is a barrel and mags. You can toy with recoil springs, but it's not needed in my experience.

Hope that is of use to someone; if not - 5 mins of my life I'll never get back lol

There is one Cabela's in Illinois. It is in Cook County. That means +$25 firearm tax and then +11% sales tax for a total around $780. $674 is a decent price but I'd pay over $100 more OTD in Cook.

Same here in Arizona. The sales tax is 8.1% to 10.2% depending on which county one lives-in and the FFL transfer fee ranges from $20.00 to $40.00. So what used to be really great deals has now been diminished by taxes, shipping and transfer fees. Still beats buying at most local retailers though. I wonder if these guys (local retailers) EVER check competitive online prices before spending BIG bucks to advertise their weekly best deals in the local papers. Typically, online prices are still better by 15%-30% if one is willing to wait the 5-7 days it takes to ship the item.

Most states, including Arizona, don’t charge sales tax on out of state transfers. There are plenty of FFLs in the East Valley doing transfers for $10-15.00.

This is a good price. Just keep in mind if you live somewhere humid, the slide will rust a little as it’s not coated. I don’t have a climate controlled safe and have had some light surface rust.

The slide is Nitron coated.

Bought mine back in Nov 18 for $650 from Cabelas. Pair this deal with the 10% off gift cards for $607 to get a better deal. Absolutely love this gun. Beats all 5 of my glocks I have.

Overpriced.

Overpriced, probably, but no more than any other Sig (I own 5). This however is a decent price for a new, wanted gun. Tax will hurt most, if you have a Cabela's in your state

Considering that this Romeo1 equipped gun in this configuration normally sells for $800, and the all black version normally sells for $750....How is $720 overpriced?

Yeah I have to agree. Cabellas is almost always a 100.00 more than any place else. I have only purchased 1 gun from them because their sale prices place them at about everyone else average price. I love the store and wish I could buy more guns there but just not worth it most of the time. This deal however is pretty good.
