Nope. First not in stock. 10-19 day ship time which means never in OP language. Second code is junk. Doesn’t exist but work8 does for 5%. Waste of time. Not sure why I tried.

WOW! That’s what they called them? I never realized you are that old and was there in the 1940’s to hear them say that, was you eating Kielbasa & cabbage over an open fire singing hymns @ the time? Wondering if you ever met Sgt. Schultz .. 8-D

We used these in the sand box. Great optic. Most guys in the teams prefer these and even some company guys. Am I lying? Who cares. It’s the internet. I’m a cyber warrior and I know everything.

The Polish Resistance in World War II used these on their HK416s, and swore by them. The Nazis called them "der fuehrermajik glas" which means "awesome 1x prism sight" and they were highly coveted as a war souvenir.

It is not a real 1x.
    It is like a 0.9x
Also mine has illumination issue and PA refused to fix it

If the diopter is properly set, you will see a true 1x image.

With 1x scopes, you first set the diopter to get you a 1x image. Then you set it to focus the reticle. If you do this backwards, your image may appear larger or smaller than 1x.

I got mine. Mount feels very solid, and comes set up by default so that the horseshoe and reticle sit just above an AR front sight tower. One could call it a "lower 1/3 co-witness" height. The torx screws on the mount are beefy. PA recommends 55-60 inch pounds of torque on the rail. That seems like alot, so I torqued mine to 40 inch pounds and called it a day. The ranging bars are obscured by the front sight post, but if you move your head you can still use them. I doubt I will ever need to. The chevron is easy enough to see. The lens cover is chitzy but works. I'll leave it off. Overall, very happy.

    Cheaper at Kenzie Optics. https://www.kenziesoptics.com/product/primary-arms-1x-microprism-slx/...

Use code BLAKE10, was $225 shipped no tax.

How’s their free shipping timeframe? I don’t see any mention of it but PA says they’re shipping out within 1 business day. Could be a something to consider for a $9 difference.

    You mad bro?

Even with the promo code, $225 is not cheaper than $219.99.

Also is out of stock at your link. Also shows a green reticle option, which PA doesn't yet offer on this optic. Seems suspect.

    U Mad you overpaid.
PA charges tax. $225 is cheaper than what you paid at $234. Green reticle option is coming out later.

I assumed they would charge tax as most plqces do these days due to state laws. Oh well.

I tried ordering online via my phone and got the same message you did about the code being expired. Tried again on my laptop and it worked. Give it a shot. Came to $234 for me with tax and free shipping.

Seems a bit overpriced given it is in ACSS low power variable optic price range. Probably somewhat more durable than low end LPVO but by the time a magnifier is added the weight and complexity is a wash. Why not buy a ACSS 1-6? Different strokes for different folks I guess. The MARINES went with LPVO but who can afford a $2000 Trijicon?

    0 votes
    0 votes

Some folks don't need or want magnification on a carbine. The market for this and LPVO are different. This is a near perfect 1x sight for those with astigmatism, and it works even without batteries. Small, lightweight, reliable. There's alot to like here.

This is meant to be used at 1x power , don’t think you’ll be adding a magnifier to a prism sight unlike a red dot where that is common

Benefit is etched reticle and non starburst for an astigmatism

Compared to my existing PA, Vortex and Swampfox 1x prisms, this one is my favorite in every way. Received my pre-order one a couple of weeks ago.

I have the GEN one version and it totally suits my needs considering I do have a stigmatism. I do on a
Trijicon MRO. The Gen 1 beats my MRO hands-down when it comes to me being able to precisely hit my target .

Anything beats a mro, those things are garbage.

Really? What's wrong with the MRO?

More parallax shift than some cheaper red dots, lots of dot distortion for those with astigmatism, work poorly with magnifiers unless you buy the more expensive HD version (and most people are inclined to go with Aimpoint at that price point).

Garand Thumb gave it a positive review. 1 MOA adjustments seem the only real downside. That's not a concern for me with a 1x optic.

I can’t speak to this as it is new, but can tell you a competing product, Vortex Spitfire 3X, Gen II is a truly awesome prism and a good bridge between the red dot and LPVO. For people with astigmatism like me it’s nice to see a precise shape through the eye piece.

I wonder if it's going to be difficult to see the reticle, I've heard some people say it's hard to see on the 1x.

The reticle on the gen 2 is larger than the gen 1 reticle. Comparison picture in this article.

This reticle is larger than the GEN 1 SO IT SHOULD be easier to see.

    1 vote
    0 votes

I don't see how it can be any harder to see the reticle just because it's 1x.

    0 votes
    0 votes

The reticle in a 1x is the same size as a reticle in a 3x or 5x. When you look through a 3x, the reticle will look big on top of the target because everything is magnified. When you look through a 1x the target will look small, the reticle will also look tiny on top of it. Some people have a hard time using the bullet drop feature with a 1x.

"The reticle will look big on top of the target because everything is magnified"

Bro that makes zero sense, thanks though. Agree that BDCs on anything less than a 3x are probably a waste of time.

    0 votes
    0 votes

Imagine the reticle on a 3x and a 1x are the same size(they are, otherwise bdc wouldn't work). Now imagine you are looking at something 300 yards away through the 3x. The target in the 3x scope will be larger than the target in a 1x scope. The same is true for the reticle, the reticle in the 3x will look larger. The reticle in the 1x will look smaller and bdc will be more difficult to use. Look through them if you can't understand what I'm telling you.

This is true for magnifiers on red dots, but I don’t think it’s true for LVPO’s. I love LVPO’s would put them on all my rifles If I had that kind of spending money.

    0 votes
    0 votes

Yeah, doesn't make sense. I have a SFP 1-4x LVPO and the reticle is just as easy to see at 1x as it is at 4x. As it should be...the size of the reticle doesn't change in a SFP scope.

BDCs, FFP scopes, etc. is a different story of course.

I own the 1x, two 3x's(5.56 and 7.62x39) and 5x and Klyph is correct. Think of it like its a ffp scope and the reticle changes just like a ffp as you go up in power.

You guys are odd. If you can see a 2-3 MOA red dot just fine, you can see a 1x prism sight reticle just fine. I know this, because I have 1x prism sights and red dot sights.

I think they are talking about using a magnifier on this prism. I agree with you Vrock. My Strike Eagle 1-8 reticle remains unchanged between 1 and 8 times. The reticle may be bigger by perspective but it is still the same size.

I have high hopes for this one, but not pre-ordering, sorry. Let's see some reviews first. Key to success will be the eye relief, and to a lesser extent, daylight brightness. With an etched reticle it isn't super important, but it's a nice to have.
