Make Model
Make: Geissele
Model: Super Duty Rifle
The Super Duty Rifle features the latest in weapon technology available exclusively from Geissele Automatics. This 16” rifle chambered in 5.56mm features a Nanoweapon coated Surefire Closed-Tine Warcomp mounted to an in-house 16” Mag Phosphated Cold Hammer Forge, Chrome Lined, 1-7 twist Geissele barrel. Our barrels are precision machined and cold hammer forged utilizing the highest quality materials at our state of the art facility in North Wales, PA. The Super Mid-length gas system and Geissele Super Compact Gas Block (with bomb-proof installation) ensures reliability and optimal performance in extreme conditions and heavy use.
Exclusive to the Super Duty 16” Rifle is the brand new SSA-E X with Lighting Bow trigger. This nanocoated, two-stage trigger features a wide body and bow shape that finds the perfect balance between a classic M4 trigger and a flat body trigger. At the heart of this rifle is the Geissele REBCG (Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group). This Nanoweapon coated BCG is machined from mil-spec 8620 steel, with a properly torqued and staked, chrome lined gas key. The Cam Pin is machined from advanced, medical steel known as H13 which is also coated with Nanoweapon for maximum corrosion and wear resistance. The REBCG also features extended upper rails, providing greater stability and dramatically increasing feeding reliability.
The REBCG comes with the Geissele Stressproof Bolt. Made from Carpenter 158+, directly developed with Carpenter Steel metallurgists to create a material that is cleaner and has less impurities. This makes our Stressproof bolt stronger and more fatigue resistant. The Geissele Stressproof bolt is also forged, not machined from barstock. This allows us to optimize the grain structure of the steel to yield a bolt capable of 5 times the life of a mil-spec bolt. Each bolt is rigorously inspected, high pressure tested, mag particle inspected and Nanoweapon coated.
The Super Duty lower is precision machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and features Geissele’s Ultra Duty Lower Parts Kit featuring our Ambidextrous Super Configurable safety and Ultra Precision trigger guard. A high quality mil-spec Geissele Buffer Tube with a Super-42 in H2 buffer ensures this rifle is properly tuned out of the box.
Rounding up the package is a 15” MK16 Super Modular Rail, that mates to the Super Duty Upper Receiver via a center aligning tab that removes any chance of rail rotation. The MK16 family of rails are fielded by USASOC and renowned by operators for their performance and comfort. An Airborne Charging Handle, ensure smooth and reliable operation.
A classic A2 style grip and a B5 Systems Enhanced Sopmod Stock finalizes this high-end rifle that offers the user unmatched accuracy and performance. What is Geissele Nanoweapon?
Geissele Nanoweapon (also known as Picatinny DSL) is a family of Durable Solid Lubricant coatings which was developed by ARDEC. It is available exclusively from Geissele Automatics. We continued the development of Picatinny DSL so that its level of corrosion, wear and abrasion resistance is currently unmatched among firearm coatings. Nanoweapon is applied at low temperatures so that the underlying metallurgy of the part is non effected by the application process. Our coating also has a surface hardness roughly equivalent to synthetic diamond. This makes Geissele Nanoweapon harder than sand, easily rejecting carbon and making cleaning a breeze, on top of allowing the firearm to operate normally with less lubrication.

I know you guys think these are kind of expensive, but The accuracy on these things are impressive! The Average group (in.) 77-gr.OTM .9 73-gr.Berger .9 75-gr. BTHP .9, at 100 yards, now tell me that’s not Great!

U ever plink with Larue’s match upper. At 749, what I hear it’s legit. Friend also said shit folks to deal with the. Just heard, no real credibility.

That's not great.
1/2 of the AR's out there will shoot 1MOA if YOU know how to shoot.
Come back when you have pics or video showing under half an inch, that would be good, not great.
Great is when you're putting up .2 or .3

These are some of the sturdiest rifles on the market, special forces grade, Super strong hand guards and BCG’s, the BCG and muzzle device covered in Nanoweapon coating.

Nice one but pretty expensive

Overpriced, overrated, Heinz ketchup rollmark, possibly a black oxide barrel...Pass.

Looks like something a cheap New Orleans pimp would own.

I built my desert dirt 11.5 for around $1300.00 in 2019 from the Black Friday deals. Wait for the Geissele BF sale if you want a lower price.

Coulda got a Ruger or S&W for around $600.00 & will do the same thing IMHO 8-))

So… lots of speculation and talk. For what it is worth, I carry one for duty. I have an issued Colt SBR and I returned it to our vault. This gun, flat out, is the best balanced AR I own. And I have built 50 or so of my own. I’m looking at buying another and selling off my hybrid BCM CHF upper.

The SD556 is the lightest recoil and smoothest functioning AR I have ever used. It just rocks. I get close to 1” at 50 out of HPBT training rounds and about 1.5-1.75” groups out of our “barrier blind” duty 62 gr bonded (I use a 2 moa T-2, so that’s about as good as the precision of the optics). I can shoot it as fast as I line it up.

I’m down for the Luna with the gift card. It is a great deal, and if you are on the fence and need a great AR carbine, dive in.

Ever fired a 20" AR?

Hello Crack Shot, To better answer the question what caliber are you referring to out of a 20” barrel? Ie. 5.56-.223-.223-wylde-7.62x.39-300-Blackout-.308-.30-06-6.5-Grendel-.22-Nosler-.458-Socom-.50-Beowulf-.50-Bmg ? Thank You Sir.

So...
.223 Wylde is a caliber ?
How strange that I did not know that.

Hi Thorax wishing you a fantastic day sir! You are correct I must have had a fart box moment, Wylde = chamber, hand shake sir ^5.

You're saying you are a cop, so that means you're a full grown man (hey, assuming here).
You feel the need to comment on recoil from a .223 ?
Seriously ?
I've fired easily 5000 different AR15s, M4s, and M16s and only seen 1 with any recoil, it was a POS Stag with a way too big gas hole in the barrel that slammed the bolt back so hard it was the bolt causing the recoil, certainly not the round.
I call BS.

Which explains why Luna with the gift card deal is expired. Brownells realized they were losing money. Mine is coming tomorrow.

Is it worth $2115 I don’t know never owned this brand, but from looking at the pictures up close it looks to be very well made, fit, finish etc. If any one owns one what are you getting for accuracy with match ammo?

So if you buy a black one it's $1285 somehow this is $900 more.

Yeah but but this one has pretty colors or something.

GOOD GOD, I'd take an LWRCI DI M-LOK over this gun and I'd be saving $1,000 in the process!

I don't see anything "super-duty" about this. My zastava and CetmeC BOTH seem WAY heavier built than this. If I'm paying over 2k for a 5.56 it will be an 805 bren s1 or a scar16.

You really just compared Century to Geissele

He literally judged the weapons based on how much they weighed lmao.

Right! Ha!

But he does make a valid point “super duty” or just “super expensive” for what it is.

This same gun in all black was $1500 during Labor Day Sale. Slap on some FDE furniture to an OD Green lower, you've got a mismatched vomit color mix of brown/green/black for $2300! What kind of dummy would throw away that much money? It doesn't even look good with all of these different colors. There's a sucker born every minute they say...

Maybe worth 1500-1600. 2300 is wayyyy over priced... this isn't a Knights.

Looks like someone had some spare furniture and slapped them on this. what is The Geissele Length gas system between mid and rifle? First look Seems like top shelf parts. At $2300 it is overpriced but there is a market for gucci ar's

Whoever decided on the color scheme must have been trying to do everyone a favor. With shitty mismatched parts like that its a lot easier to realize you’re wasting $1000 over its vaule. Give it an adjustable piston and remove the need for a buffer tube and it might be worth 1800

also add a barrel takedown, *poof* drd aptus...
I'd prefer a binary to a geiselle, especially in a .224.
"Match" triggers belong in 308s and Creedmoors, not a carbine length 5.56

Is it $2300 beautiful? I know the word "Geissele" causes some people to pee their pants, but that's only because they don't know that it's French for "overpriced".

I realize this is old however it's still relevant today. Only childish, stupid back and forth of who's dick is bigger comments get deleted. People come here for good deals. Not childish banter by keyboard warriors. We are all gun people and we should be considering this when it comes to the personal attacks by other members. Last I checked you have to be an "adult" to be on here ...so my suggestion, ACT LIKE IT. Then you won't have to get upset when comments get deleted!
