Thankfully I was able to purchase the 7.7" Scorpion Evo 3 S1 with brace from KY Gun Co for $979.99 with free shipping the other day. I feel this was the best price for the foreseeable future given the current Covid pandemic panic buying. They sold out quick at this price. I ended up purchasing some accessories before I even receive the pistol including a Tandemkross Trigger, HB Trigger springs & a HB mini right hand AK safety lever for an additional $70 for everything.

Ballistics are nothing more then a g17, would be severely outgunned by a ar pistol in 223 or 300. I would lean more toward the 7.7 barrel version still being behind the curve to 223 or 300

You don't think a light-weight and compact 9mm SMG fills a niche? I have all of the guns you just "apple and orange" compared it to, yet I still can't wait for my Scorpion Micro to arrive... Weird.

A 9mm’s powder is still burning when it exits a 4.5 inch barrel as opposed to an 8 in. We are not telling you to not be excited. Just dont it expect it to be at the peak of performances in the PCC world

Only if you run the wrong load or don't have a clue on how to reload your own.
Powders like unique and bluedot will easily be burnt in a short barrel....it's what they are made for.
Conversely you could run something like imr 4227 powder and have a 2 foot flame out the front and not run into pressure issues or velocity issues.
It helps to know a little bit about how weapons work....and maybe stay awake during that thermodynamics class.

If only I was that rich. Custom loads for each of my firearms? Sounds like a dream. In lieu of having donalds trump money i’ll just go for a longer barrel. The increase in ballistics from it is much more measureable

If you're planning on using off the shelf ammo you won't notice any measurable difference in a 9mm.
The preloaded ammo is made to be safe in a 3-5" barreled pistol and is tuned for that since 90% of 9mm weapons are pistols.
Liability, thats what the ammo makers load for, it's a soft and gentle ammo to not instill law suits....dig?
Only a reloader can bring out the weapons true potential....by custom loading for every firearm he has.
That's why they make reloading gear, or didn't you know ?

As a pcc's enthusiast, I'd have to agree that 4.5" is definitely on the low end of performance for 9mm, especially for $1200. This would make a lot more sense if you're planning on using a can.

You didn’t enlighten me with the purpose? If this was the cz a1 that i could own for $1,200 delivered to my ffl i would buy 10 of them. But its not the a1 its the s1 try figuring out what the a and s mean.....not a smg....weird

Your only defense was to nitpick the SMG acronym?

The "purpose" is that it's light and compact and probably the best 9mm suppressor host on the market. Nobody is buying this to get the same ballistics as a 5.56 or 300AAC... If I wanted the ballistics of those calibers I'll use one of the many that I already own.

So you have no purpose for the gun. Dont really care enjoy for 4.5” pistol with the magpul sights instead of the cz sights, for the fantastic price of $1,200.

My "purpose" for it is to help complete a diverse gun collection with handguns, subguns and rifles in a variety of calibers. Do I need more reason than that?

Since you apparently only care about ballistics, this is clearly not the gun for you. May I suggest a Barrett 50 cal? That should do the trick.

Ballistics are very important. They determine at what range you can hit a target and how hard it hits. 4.5 is less than ideal. The really upside to your purchase? You can get a 30rd mag and hold it easily with both hands. Otherwise it’s gonna hit like every other full sized pistol out there

Big thanks to all the ballistics junkies in here! I'll be sure to refer back to this thread next time I need to choose which gun to defend my family from Chinese soldiers storming up my driveway!

My LGS said these were already allocated for the YEAR and probably wont be steadily available for 6+ months so I went ahead and took this deal on back order status. Hoping Brownells get's some soon but most likely anyone that wants this will be waiting a few months.

$1200 to still need to change the grip and safety for it to be comfortable to shoot I’ll pass. But they changed the sights that I never had a problem with, cz needs to get it together

You really don’t need to change the safety. I picked one up for this price from Prepper Gun Shop last December and it came with 2-20 round mags and 4-32 round mags with a Magpul grip already installed. The Magpul grip did away with the need to change the safety. At least for me, the safety isn’t even close to my hand. I do agree on the sights though. The steel sights they had on them were perfect. Why would I want plastic?

Also mine had the PDW brace. Only way to go on these if you ask me. Mine will fit in a laptop case. I like that they did away with the faux suppressor for a KAC Micro can though. That’s the only thing I’ve changed on mine.

Look at the price list above the comments fellas, almost 20 vendors are selling at or below $1080. Brownell's $1185 with a code is not a deal.

This is a pretty solid deal. You'd be saving about $200-250 at this price with the gear included. I'm running the same set up suppressed (omega 9k) and I've been very pleased. Great suppressor host d/t zero gas in the face.

Must have been a little too popular as they jacked the price up. F Brownells and PSA while were at it.

Too bad its Brownells- they’ll sit on your preorder if others are buying at release.
