Description

The Precision Defense 9mm Bolt Carrier Group is designed specifically for blowback AR-15 pistol caliber carbines. Because of the blowback system, no rotating locking lugs or gas key is necessary like a traditional AR-15 weapon system. What keeps this bolt closed is simply the pressure of the recoil spring and the weight of the bolt is what keeps it closed long enough for the bullet to leave the barrel. The body of this 9mm BCG is machined from 8620 steel with a salt bath Nitride finish for its slick and durable properties. The bolt face itself is magnetic particle inspected and the extractor is machined from S7 tool steel. It also features something that looks like a gas key and it basically is except its sole purpose is to serve as an indexing point for the charging handle. It is however machined from a billet of steel and still has staked screws to ensure it stays in place. The Precision Defense 9mm Bolt is an affordable and reliable option for building a 9mm AR and is compatible with Colt and Glock magazines.
