Got my almost box of bullets a couple weeks ago and USPS damaged the box during shipping and almost everything was missing. I was extremely aggravated but guy from the company replaced it free of charge on the phone and I got replacements already. Thats how you handle customer service especially when dealing with a pissed off old fart (me). Ill be buying some more, good folks.

Really hoping you guys bring pink back soon! Gotta pick some 9mm up for the lady, she loved the pink bullets last time. But purple will work for now too hah!

Product is good and no complaints there. But they are right up there with cheaper then dirt on sales tactics. They will deny it but here is one of my last invoices before I stopped buying from them.

9mm 115gr. (3,750 Count) Bulk Pack
1 × $238.00
Total $202.30 with coupon code.
Shipped

So for 250 more projectiles it is now $288 shipped and with coupon code I think it was $245. So how and when did 250 more projectiles cost or become worth the extra $40. People need to pay attention to sales tactics and not buy from these people. Blackfriday does not mean increase the price then have a sale. Once again no issues wi product just retailer. And last two orders took a few emails and 2-3 weeks to get to my door. Feel like I am shopping at luckygunner.com.

Your math must be wrong, I picked up bullets earlier this year, my invoice shows 500 .40s for $54.95. Price is still the same now as it was then, but now you can get them cheaper with the discount. What you're saying does not add up.

How is my math wrong when this is about 9s and not 40s. Not saying don't buy them just pointing out the major price increase they have had, crappy sales tactics, and the shipping issues they have.

Calling bullshit. Prices have been the same for the last 6 months, prices are the same as they were before the sale. Just ordered a bulk pack 2 weeks ago and prices are the same as now, you're full of it.

I agree EM prices have jumped putting them in line with Ranier. I would prefer to shoot copper than poly, so I stopped buying from EM.

Finally I can get orange again hope more colors are available as part of the normal sales, I really like the pink as well if you ever do those again.

After my last two orders if they gave 20% I would not buy from them anymore. After over two weeks I emailed them three times. And the last time I emailed them asking them to just return my funds. A few hours later they shipped. They used to be a ok company to buy from. Now they are turning into your typical CTD and luckygunner type sales tactics. And there prices in the last year went up far beyond what others selling similar products.

Used to be my go to spot. But seems from over looking my invoices. They have had about a 20% increase in less then a year. And I love nothing more then a retailer who plays the coupon game. Bullets are 10% off and additional 5% on blue. A day later it is 15% off and blue is normal price. And pay attention the prices change when coupons come out. They can argue it but I have invoice to prove it. Price difference between now and 10 months ago is $40 on same item with same percentage off. Glad new retailers pop up all the time trying to get marker share. Just keep the prices the same and you will keep a solid customer base.

Ya, the prices increased, that's how supply and demand works. But I've never noticed any prices changing depending on the coupons offered like you're saying, my past 3 invoices from this year say that's a lie.

I have purchased 1K of the Eggleston .45 200 grain (.451) and loaded them in 45 ACP on a Lee turret press with Lee dies. No problems whatsoever. Slight case flare and they seat perfectly, just a skosh of taper crimp to remove the flare. My sizer die takes the mouth to .468" OD, and after flare and seating, I crimp to .470" OD. I use an OAL of 1.260", as the original military ball length spec was something like 1.256" to 1.266". I used 6.0 grains of Unique for a plinking load for my daughter's S&W M&P 45 and she loves them. Of course, pink was her color choice. I just placed another order, this time in bulk.

I bought the patriot pack (1,500) just as a cool novelty. By far this was the worst loading ammo I've ever experience. AOL was inconsistent and no matter how much I flared the casings. The bullet lead kept scraping on the neck of the case. After about 3hrs of trying to get this right. (Only loaded 300rds or so). I gave up and went back to my normal plated bullets. Flare was so much that the plated bullet dropped in casing. I loaded up 2500rds of 9mm plated bullets with NO problems.
( Dillion 650 with case feeder and Mr Bulletfeeder. )

I've reloaded atleast 1,700 rds of 9mm with their projectiles. I've only had one issue and that was when I setup my dies for the first time and I didn't quite have enough case flare. I corrected it and still ran that same projectile without issue. If there isn't enough flare, or something else in your setup might not be working right for these projectiles. I'm not saying your doing something wrong, but their might be some adjustment that needs to be made for these projectiles. Many people have had great success with them, at this point.

It sounds like either the expander die or bullet seating die is not set up properly, or you may not be using a neck expander plug like the Lyman M dies or Hornady PTX expander. Minimal expanding of the neck is needed for the bullets to seat smoothly, contact us if you have any questions on setting up your dies, there are thousands of shooters loading these bullets successfully.

Expander die was being used. No matter how much I expanded the case. I would still get bullets that would not fit. Either way. I've loaded tons of different types of bullets. From Jacked to plated to lead. This includes what I call POOR man bullets that I make out of car wheel weights. Just a coincidence that it only happened with these bullets I guess. No Big. Poor man bullets below. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah97/narfxj1/IMAG0041_zpsijesgsdc.jpg...

Yes. I was gonna list them on AR15.com on the EE forum.

If the case is expanded enough that bullets can drop down freely, the problem may lie with the bullet seater, if the bullets are entering slightly crooked during the process. Have you noticed anything like this, or experimented with different seating plugs to see if the problem with shaving the coating goes away?

I don't believe the bullet feeder would be a problem, as I've used the Mr. Bullet Feeder kit myself, but you might also check that the tapered mouth of the feeder is not removing your flare during the feeding process as well. These bullets should be nearly identical to load compared to a cast lead bullet.

I would try them if the price was right, but 8% off? Plated bullets are still cheaper so if price drops a bit I would love to try.

I'm curious about these projectiles, any feedback? Do the diameters match specific grain equivalents? I'm guessing these are casted lead and dipped in plastic?

charter arms has offered pink/nkl 38 spl for years, and I think, I'm not positive, it's spectra or spartan that offers steel shot for waterfowling that has color coated pellets, that uses a "proprietary" process that has been approved by USFW,so that you can tell who shot which bird when you clean them, if there are any pellets still in the bird.
I don't know any of the process details, but it's been around for a while...

I got mine in a couple days ago.
I ordered 200 grain projectiles. I weighted 10 of them, and they varied from 198.8 to 201.2.
That seems like a reasonable variance for accuracy.
I'm new to this, so is this acceptable?
Am I thinking into it too much?

Are you can cast or buy cheap cast and coat them yourself
http://www.bayoubullets.net/Coating.html...
Or you can go real cheap and use the polymer powder coat from harbor freight or powder by the pound.

After the coupon, it was $79/1K for 124gr. Very reasonable and a cool concept. We'll see how accurate they are now....

Can you mix n match colors for these bullets?

1 vote

Mateoest, each bag you order can be a different color, even if every bag is of the same kind of bullet.

To do this you will need to select the first color you want, add 1 item to your shopping bag, select the next color you want, add 1 item to your shopping bag, etc.

Will the color come off in a tumbler? I tumble my live rounds to remove case lube, etc.

1 vote

Use a carbide die. No lube needed. I would also never tumble live rounds, period. Just my 2 cents. Tumble before you load, no media stuck in the flash hole.

Hi asu174, the colored coating will stay intact, but it can get pretty dirty. I've done this myself with good results, I just had to make sure to use clean tumbling media, otherwise the brass comes out looking shiny, but the bullets come out looking dark and dirty. I quick wipe of the bullets with a moist cloth fixes that if it does happen.

Awesome. I ordered 2K. I think you have really found a niche with this product. It's a good crossover between plated and lead rounds at a reasonable price. I can color code the various loads I am using, although I only ordered metallic blue.

I don't understand... on the website they're sold per 250ct. bag @ $36 ea. So is this for two bags (i.e. 500 ct.)?

My mistake, thanks for pointing this out. I've just edited the post, the listed price should be for 500 bullets shipped with the coupon code.

Does this coating leave any residue in the barrel? I.e does it clean easily?

3 votes

The coating is self lubricating and will leave no residue, generally the only fouling left in the bore is from the powder. A single pass with a brush or patch should leave the bore looking good, they are similar to a plated or jacketed bullet in this regard.
