The kevlar is rated for 9mm. The plate is rated for 7.62x39mm. I had to go into the weeds for that info. I found it in the product reviews on Sportsman's Guide, the actual retailer of the product. FYI, some of them don't come with the groin flap, some are a different pattern, and the sizing is all fucked up. They are sending out like 4-5 different types of this product and there is no consistency between them. Lots of returns.
Dumb question, but is this a plate carrier as well? Can you add plates front and back? Description doesn't really say.
The Material is Kevlar. Then it holds plates front and rear and it is suppose to have them. Personally I’m not ordering it. As nicholad99 posted the sizes are all messed up. It’s like a puzzle that doesn’t have all the pieces so you take pieces from another puzzle and just start forcing them together. No thanks. Especially when this is suppose to. Protect you from a gun shot. I would rather save up wait a little longer and buy something that I can put my trust in to stop a bullet. But I don’t trust this !!!
I do not know is more funny buying a used vest for $197.99 that someone wore and sweated in Or reading this coments with all you Veterans trashing each other . It is only a used vest no worth $197.97 to start with.

Anybody know what these will hold back? 7.62x39,.223, 7.62x51, grenade shrapnel, etc? U have no idea what these are meant for. I know they say for collectible use only, but will they actually serve to provide any protection? Thanks
If you look down at the second post at the bottom, he had no idea what a groin plate was for. You appear to be very literal, a factory worker I guess?
You'd be amazed at the number of soldiers that get their dick shot off or injured with an explosive in battle. If you're ever in a gunfight with a cop, always aim for the belly button and down. Anybody with their dick shot off never returns fire.

The goal is not to shoot them in their vest, waste of time. Google the number of soldiers that come back with their dicks shot off. What do you think they make that groin plate for?
Good shape, lightly used, a few bullet holes, minor blood stains. :)
I dont have any friends to play paintball with, either they are all in jail or dead. the groin plate is a + for people like me.
I can't wait to run around in the woodland, playing paintball alone, in this...19lbs groin plate...?
