Will this fit in the overhead bin?

Of a plane? Guns need to be checked my dude

Not all people are required to check firearms, and not all airlines require firearms to be checked. As well, not all people carry firearms in a hard travel case. ;)

To answer the original question, no this would not fit the standard overhead bin size for a private jet, or a commercial airline.

I have a couple of these and a Flambeau 'Tactical AR' case. These are very strong and well made. The Flambeau is a total piece of shit.

Absolutely. I can BARELY fit my AK in the Flambeau. These are a lot more like the pelican cases. My toddler jumped up and down on this and it barely flexed the plastic. Thid is an amazing case for the price.

Do you really need a thick form to protect your ar?
I mean it’s nice to see a durable box but I feel like it’s a bit overkill.

Working in the industry the standard operating knowledge is that you should pack it well enough to not be damaged when dropped from 5-10 feet. Same with UPS and Fedex, although they have fragile options

Yes, if you want to fly with it as checked luggage.

I don’t get the concept of a molding. Rifles aren’t fragile. Molding may look good but it’s hard to re-arrange them if you want to put other firearms or add new stuffs.

These are also the same price OR even cheaper sometimes at Sam's Club! As long as you have a Sam's membership you can easily order the 36" or 42" for $57.98 plus local taxes of course. Here is a link to the 42" case : https://www.samsclub.com/sams/aw-rifle-all-weather/prod20870273.ip?xid=plp:product:1:2...

Like the price and rugginess of this case. Only dislike the foam how it was design to remove cubes. I prefer just cutting the shape out by a razor blade, looks much cleaner

missed out when it was on jet.com for 54 with no tax as well. but 60 is still a good price for a decent in and out travel case for my ar.

I'm not sure where people are seeing that it will take 3 to 6 weeks. I got mine in 2 days with amazon prime. I just checked again and it says i can get one by tomorrow if i choose one day shipping?

I have one of these and it's a stout case. I'm surprised somebody was able to knock a hole in one. Would definitely buy again if I needed it.

My brother just got one of these. He used it to bring some stuff to my house on a plane. It has a hole busted in one end after the trip. Not sure how tough these are.

Damn.. That musta been one helluva pissed off baggage handler cause they seem like pretty rugged cases. Did the plastic get pushed in and break? Just trying to understand where the weaker point of it is.
Either way, I don't think I'd ever use mine for air travel.. I'd stick with the Pelicans for travel purposes. I just ordered my second and find they work just fine for storage and trips to the range. Definitely worth it for what it is IMO. I would never pay much over 60$ tho..

Got mine in 10 days. Very well made. I had checked yesterday on ordering another and the cheapest price was that $65 plus shipping. From that XPW.

When you go to the amazon page look on the right side of the page where it says "Other Sellers on Amazon". I can still purchase it that way for $58.14 + FREE Shipping.

Make sure you read the part where it says, "doesnt ship for 3 to 6 weeks".

That's what it said but mine shipped right away.

Good deal if you want to wait a month for it to ship

I use it for my TX2000HC pellet gun. I also cut out a space for my Browning Camper 22. Heavy Duty - stays out in the Basement to be readily available for yard pests. Enough latches and locks to keep the little ones from getting into trouble. Price is subjective - mine came from Big 5 and it was more than this price - Build quality is solid.

Just got mine in 3 days. Nice gun case worth the money.

maybe a record low for amazon, but not for the case. It's been as low as ~40, but rarely. Still a great case and worth the cost if you need something now.

Great price on a pretty solid case, but what's up with "usually ships within 3 to 6 weeks"? In other words, don't make plans to use it before late Sept...c'mon Amazon, you can do better than this. Are they buried in the back of a warehouse behind the Halloween costumes?

Paid $55 for my last one. It was during $15 off orders of $50 or more Plano cases.
