Produced from 1851-1872, the Navy is one of the most famous cap and ball revolvers ever produced. These dependable guns are perfectly balanced and have precise aim. This famous revolver has gold and nickel plating that makes it look just as good as it shoots. The cylinder has engraved naval battle scenes to go along with the engraved frame, hammer, and loading lever. This 1851 Navy uses #10 percussion caps and has a 1 in 36" twist. This gun has has come to symbolize the days of the stagecoach, Pony Express, and the Civil War.

Its beautiful engraving on the cylinder features the naval battle of Campeche between the Texas Navy and that from Mexico is roll engraved. This scene was selected by Colt himself, to honor Texas, winner of the battle and also because the soldiers were armed with Colt Patersons.
