A lady was shooting one of these in my CCW class. It malfunctioned several times. I thought maybe it was operator error. Later the instructor put a few rounds through it, and it actually came apart in his hands. Unbelievable.

This is a terrible choice for concealed carry, primarily because of the number of safety features makes it almost impossible to use under stress. However, I've had 2 of these and for the price, they make a fun little plinker. I've never regretting buying mine.

I had one of these in nickel. It's $100 for a gun, and in that sense it may be worth it. I sold mine because it struck me that it serves no purpose whatsoever besides being an extremely inexpensive gun. It's not accurate enough to shoot critters with, very heavy considering it's a 22 pistol without a high capacity, and the safeties on the gun are the worst I have ever seen on any gun of any kind ever.

Mine is cracking inside trigger guard above trigger. Only put 5 rounds thru it.

I have two of these. I think they are very much worth the money. I got one used, with only the 3'' barrel. I liked it so much I bought one of the range kits with both barrels. I also bought a 5'' barrel from Numrich for the first one I bought.

I have been lucky, but mine aren't that picky with ammo. I rarely have any type of jam.

One thing I suggest, to help yours last longer (apparently the alloy frames like to crack, especially if you use high velocity ammo-which you aren't supposed to do) On ebay, someone is making these little stick-on buffers. They are cheap, and well worth it.

There's no last round hold-open, but this same person on ebay sells replacement followers for the mags that will hold open. I didn't buy one, I just count my shots.

These are surprisingly accurate, and they have a good amount of weight to them and you can rapid fire and nail an 8 inch gong at 20 yards time after time (with the longer barrel)

Just thought I'd share my experience, because I looked past this pistol many times due to the low price and not-so-great reputation. But, you will find people out there that love theirs.

I did go through and polish up some rough spots and little tabs left over from the casting. I also did the youtube search and disabled the safeties. Remember, though, if you make a permanent change to modify the safety, it will void your lifetime warranty.

It's a fun gun to shoot but would never recommend it to be used for protection. Has feeding issues and poor design issues - the linkage for the trigger is always coming loose and I need to take it apart to fix it. Also had to modify safety linkages so it would operate like a "real" gun.

My wife owns one she loves it but it is picky on bullets. It likes the Winchester hollow points. She bought one last year and we paid a hella of lot more money. Great deal now!

I think they are a great little 22lr for the money. I purchased one new around Xmas for my wife to shoot. Great gun after I bypassed the safety issues. Just to hard for her to rack. I bought a new Ruger P22, new Beretta Neos and a used Walther P22. She kept the Ruger and I get the rest. All good guns in their own special way. Will keep all of them including the Phoenix. For just going our back on my own shooting range it is a blast to shoot. It has feed problems every so often but for just shooting at various targets from 10 yards to 35 yards it holds it own with the other three.

I actually have one my Dad bought me when I was a kid to target shoot with him. Works fine but they are kind of strict on what kind of ammo they should handle. Would I pay 100 bucks for it today? Yes.
