I picked up one of these at this price, I've made two trips to the range and right at 600 rounds through the weapon without a single issue, I cleaned and lubricated the gun prior to my first trip to the range and made sure it was well oiled through the first 500 or so rounds, The accuracy of the gun is really great and after a couple of mags getting tuned in with the gun I was dropping steel plates at 25 yards effortlessly, I had read about issues with the double stacks but not too many about Para's single stacks. the gun looks and shoots amazing.
I would buy another one in a heart beat.

Got my STI Spartan for $625 including transfer. Amazing 1911 for the money.

Got a Sig 1911 Tacops a while back for $700 at HPGS when sig was giving 3 additional mags for free. Never an issue, accuracy nearly on par with my S&W 686

I've had issues with their double stack failing to feed the last round after the breakin (500 rounds). Before that it would fail to feed 3-4 rounds per mag. Sent it back to Para and now it will never feed the last round. I do like the fit/finish of the gun. I was hoping their single stack would have the reliability of other single stack 1911's. Anyone have any experience with this 8+1 black ops?

Deadbeat, can you advise where you saw/read said reviews. I own one and really think its excellent thus far. Granted, I've only put about 50 rds thrush it, but Para has made a solid 1911 for years and this upper echelon Black Ops from their catalog seems to be every bit of that and then some. Thanks ahead.

Read this several mixed reviews on these. Put me really on the fence. Reports of soft metal that wears fast

I purchased this and it was an absolute piece of junk firearm. I had to return it to Remington and they could not fix it, so they replaced it. CDNN was not that great either. Original purchase was messed up, CDNN sent me one without the Skull and Wings insignia, so I sent it back requesting that version and they said they would replace it. They sent back the same one without the insignia. I did not feel like waiting forever again. Complete nightmare, I would not recommend the weapon or the company. Remington was pretty good to deal with, but it did take them over a month to come to their conclusion that the weapon was not repairable. CDNN's customer service was not good.
