Might do some checking up before buying any Outbreak Ordnance stuff.
So is there a similar offering in forged? I like the features this offers. . Angled integrated trigger guard and set screws
no it's not possible to get these features, which make assembling the lower a lot more convenient btw, in forged lowers.
Billet weights more too. Billet compensates for lack of strength by adding more metal - then it's on par with forgings, but weights more. It's all about looks with Billet lowers..... imho, I'll pass.
Can somebody explain (ideally in quite simple terms) if it makes sense for an Average Joe like me who occasionally shoots his AR at the range and will probably not exceed 1000 rds a year from the rifle to go for this lower for ~$130 instead of, let's say PSA or Anderson lower for $50?
No irony in the question, the difference in price is not that big compared to other investment into scope, trigger, upper assembly etc., but just want to understand what real advantages are from this kind of lower?

Billet is good for looks - Everyone should know that forged is lighter and stronger. I love the looks, but won't compromise on reliability, so went with a forged instead.
Is there a reliability issue with any billet lowers out there? NOT! The argument is long past. No need to worry. Go for the looks and be comfortable in knowing the billet is just as good if not superior to forgings.
I have an early (pre-sale) Joe Bob's version of these NFA billet lowers. I liked it enough when I got it a year ago, but it has nothing special. By now, there are better billet deals, even an ambi for $130ish @ Centerfire (whom I don't care for so much). If you want fancy, MEGA is worth the premium, if not, my PSA and Anderson do the same.
The advantages are...no pins used so you can assemble/dis-assemble with just a Allen wrench, has adjustment screw to take slack up between upper & lower, Made from billet aluminum and milled so it has greater refined appearance, also milled to fit ambi extended bolt catches. I just do not recommend the billet upper with the removable Forward Assist block, as I have had problems with the alignment of the dust cover hole and fa buttons sticking out beyond the bock. I have purchased a few lowers and uppers from DOA... always next day shipping, and excellent customer service.
Great lower. I ordered this and a Spikes Punisher. DOA had them at my FFL in 2 days.
Will be checking their site and ordering everything I need from them if possible.
Just received my Ordnance One lower from my FFL. Can't wait to get it home and assemble my rifle. Nice finish and great logo and made in Florida in Big Pine Key.

I'm sure they're made in Las Vegas like all of the other lowers that New Frontier Armory private labels for other companies. It's the same lower as the JoeBobOutfitters Spartan and several other similar brands. We even have a local gun shop here that has private labeled this lower with their logo and info.
This is an awesome lower.
I ordered one 1 last week when it arrives its comparable to a black rain or Noveske billet lower.
All milled receiver nice logo and awesome name.

Same thing as the New Frontier Armory C-4 but with a different roll-mark.
Great receiver, but can be had for less.
Yeah, no need to pay for pretty roll marks... buy elsewhere cheaper.
Take it a bit further... no need to pay for pretty Billet. Everyone should know by now that forged is stronger and lighter. You're paying extra for more weight and less strength. It costs more because of all the CNC milling that needs to be done. (sorry, am I ranting here?)
They are out of business, we are selling off their last batch of billet lowers.
