  • A cut above Ontario Knife Company has a long track record of making high quality knives. You get more than you pay for. How often can you say that these days? AUS8 steel works very well in knives, and these guys do it right (proper temper). I would bet Ontario D2 steel is also done correctly. More than can be said of others on the market (ask me how I know).

I've got one in D2 and it is very nice and holds and edge well. I keep it clean and oiled, and so far no corrosion or staining problems at all. Only thing I wouldn't use it for is food prep. A worthy upgrade if you like the knife in AUS8.

Very nice knife, one of my fav budget work knives, but this is the highest price it's been on Amazon according to Camelcamelcamel.com. You can get it with the black coated blade for $28.15: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001E8EM2E...?
