For 2018, the all-new M-TACTICAL ratchets up riflescope performance through a profound mix of optical design, superior glass, innovative materials and 100 years of Nikon optical ingenuity. The proprietary glass and multicoating technology used in these optics prioritizes bright, high contrast sight pictures–and those views are complemented by purpose-driven reticles designed for long range. Highly innovative and intuitive MK1-MOA and MK1-MRAD tactical reticles with matched turrets are the ticket for dialing-in your longest shot with speed and precision. When platform-focused ballistic technology is desired, the M-TACTICAL lineup’s caliber-designated reticles and Spot On ballistics are engineered to put the most challenging distances within reach. All long-range M-TACTICAL models feature side-focus parallax adjustments, while the full range of models feature directional indicators on turrets, 4x zoom range and utilize robust 30mm main body tubes drawn from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy. Turrets and zoom rings have knurling that is ergonomically designed for comfortable function with virtually any finger size. Each M-TACTICAL riflescope is finished with ultra-matte anodizing for extreme durability and reliability during a lifetime of real world performance.

Don't think these are only applicable to ARs, and tactical rifles, because this is actually an outstanding hunting scope. Learning to use a precision MRAD, or a MOA based scope vastly improves your ability to place the point of impact exactly where it should be, to insure a clean, and humane kill. As conservationist, and hunters we should select rifles and optics that are appropriate for the task, and master the skill sets to use them effectively. A fundamental understanding of precision shooting is a skill every hunter should have. You start by purchasing a precision scope, then get on your phone, or computer for tutorials, videos, and ballistic computers. Once you understand what you're doing, go to the range, and practice what you have learned. In regards to this scope, it is high quality and affordable. It has a basic but precise mil reticle, and turrets, plus all the other basic features you need to become a more skilled, and successful hunter. Buy it, then do you homework, and step up your game.

This sounds like a great advertisement for Nikon. However Nikon recently confirmed that they’re getting out of the rifle scope business so buyers beware.

It’s fair to point out the fact that they’re exiting the market. However, do you have insider or closed door knowledge that they’ll discontinue warrantees or support? I’ve not read or seen anything of the sort from them. If you have, please post up so we can all be informed.

Otherwise, your comment seems to be eluding to “welp, there goes support for my product” as the reason not to buy without any further reason for diminishing the value of the product for the price.

To me, this seems to be a great scope with good glass, a good reticle, and a historically good scope manufacturer at a pretty solid price.

I have seen confirmation that they will still honor and service legitimate warranty claims.
