Are Warrior poets moderate democrats? Can they be T bagged? Am I a troll or a true 2A enthusiast? The world may never know...

What did War poets do to the world to make it not care about anything?

I’ve been on here a while. Never made an account. But I couldn’t believe what was being said here.
I never would’ve imagined anyone in the 2A community disliking John, or the Warrior Poet Society.
His skills are undeniable. I’d love to see anyone post something doing it better than him. And his methods work. Just give them a try.
I’m not trying to start a fight.
But if anyone in the 2A community or claims to be a conservative can call the the values and principles he is trying to bring back to America “Cringey” or God forbid “Gay”. We truly are doomed as a society and the end is nigh.

No one is disliking the man. The Braveheart Warrior Poet thing is kinda weird. Its like still wearing super hero pajamas. Is it a good gun? Yeah. But do I want the cringy War poet on it for a extra $250? No. Is Lovell skilled? yeah no one denies that.

Imagine defending yourself in court and your firearm says war anywhere on it. Stupid in my humble opinion

So what it’s just the name? Would a Tactical Rifleman shirt not be cringe worthy?
It’s really about what he’s trying to do. If everyone in our society had a mindset even somewhat similar to his. I might go out in public and actually converse with people haha. r comment here...

Tactical Rifleman is trying to push a society to join? I must have missed that

No but a tactical artiste shirt sure would.

I don't think anyone who's not a troll thinks he's a bad guy it's just the whole "war poet" thing is kinda cringey and when you mix that with the clean cut conservative christian white guy persona it's a turn off to those of us who just want to do hoodrat stuff with our friends.

So if he had like a mullet and cussed a lot he’d be more relatable? Haha Couldn’t resist. Will never get that image out of my head now. Might have to photoshop that.

Not sure what a hood rat is. Must be why I don’t have any friends. Didn’t Shrek say something about cooking a mean hood rat stew? Hahaha

It would be a good start, Theo Vons mullet helped start his career. The persona that dude puts on is cheesey and cringey and attracts a certain type of person with a moral superiority "sheep dog" "oath keeper" complex The glock clones he's pushing are cheesey and cringey and attract a certain type of person with more money than sense willing to buy something for 2x it's value because someone laser engraved "murderer artist" on it or something equally as tacky as "war poet". These people are no fun, have no sense of humor and take themselves and life way too seriously. Personally I'll stick with the drinking/cursing guys over at Tactical Rifleman they're not selling a curated persona.

“No fun, no sense of humor” sounds like you honestly though

I don’t have any socialist media. This is the closest thing I’ve ever had honestly. But this comment thing is already getting on my nerves so this it it for me. Not trying to be a jerk. Just have better things to do.

I don’t see this specifically attracting the types of people you refer to. I certainly don’t have that mentality. I have a feeling you really haven’t given John a chance. I honestly thought the channel was goofy too the first couple videos I saw. He just has good advice and real world applicable skills. And happens to have morale standards I agree with.
I watch both WPS and Tactical Rifleman. But honestly I’ve seen John joke around a lot more than the TR guys. They’re all good guys I’m sure.

I am a Christian. So maybe I just relate to John more. I’ve actually seen John drinking a beer in a video though.
I’m 24 years old and have never tasted an alcoholic beverage. So maybe I’m just not your type of people.
You can do and believe whatever you want. It’s a free country. Just kinda figured 2A guys would try to stick together even if they don’t believe exactly the same.

But whatever, no skin off my back. Have a happy life, see you guys later.
Dang I don’t know how people do this all day haha.

AMEN. John served our country and is sharing his experiences and training to the rest of us. Nothing is free, so expect a commercial (aka Like, Subscribe, etc) side.

I have to admit that when I first saw the name "Warrior Poet Society" some years ago, I was a bit put off. I was expecting some larp-ing millennial with a man-bun. After watching a video on Lovell's YouTube channel, I realized this wasn't the case. The more videos that I watched, the more I realized that John is the genuine article. He knows his stuff and wants to help others. While this pistol isn't for me, I've purchased a few things directly from the WPS web site, and found them to be a good value. For example, he sells rebranded Blue Force belts that work very well, and at one point were actually cheaper than buying from BF directly.

I was exactly the same way. The very first video I saw I was like “This seems a little cheesy.”

But like you the more I watched the more I realized John is one of the only real ones out there.

Then in one video he mentioned 5 combat tours and I was like “huh???” I never would’ve even guessed he was a vet. But that’s one of his amazing qualities is his humbleness and light hearted-ness. Most trainers take theirselves way too seriously.

This pistols really isn’t for me either. Maybe someday when I could justify that kind of cash.

But I’ve purchased a few things as well. I love the ShivWorks Clinch Pick. And I’ve bought a couple first aid items that were really good deals. And a t-shirt. Because I believe their cause, not because I’m some fanboy.

I subscribed to the network recently. Even just watching his classes I’ve gained an insane amount of knowledge. I couldn’t imagine actually attending one.

Considering you have an inability to use the reply button in a thread, it's kind of hard to decipher who you're trying to troll. Not only are you up voting yourself (which we can all see with a click btw), you're now editing to cover up your gibberish, I guess blocking people, and trying to shit on people for how much they're commenting while commenting more than them. Keep dat troll toll going.

I find any man that does not know who John Lovel of Warrior Poet Society is "cringe worthy". Since your beta ass obviously does not know let me clue you in. 75th Rangers, 5 combat deployments, awesome firearms instructor and a model American. GFY.

I dont think this pistol sell very well due to palmetto state armory coming out with their version of the GEN3 19 for $299 or the fully loaded version- night sights, optics ready, threaded barrel, for $349. PSA just changed the gun market and they always put out quality equipment

0 votes
1 vote

Lmao. You clearly know nothing of Shadow Systems. They make one of the best guns currently on the market. To think the PSA would be even close to this is laughable. Nice try tho, comparing an extremely budget, and completely untested, pistol to a highly reviewed and 100% loved firearm.

they make a decent build but nothing beats a stock glock, maybe change out the trigger connector but the more gucci you get the more likely it is to fail at high rounds. I've seen stock glocks go further than any zev build ever could and enough zev triggers fail to know I wouldn't want one in a combat situation and I can't imagine shadow systems is any better.

Very good point. I am not a PSA hater, I have five builds from them. I also own three MR918. They are the only pistol I carry.

Sportsman outdoors was selling basically the same gun without the war poet junk on it for less then $750

I was going to get a G45 optics ready. When you add up the prices for a G45, threaded barrel, trigger upgrade (optional) and red dot site, you’re at around $1200, which is what the red dot model costs if you’re a SG member
