It's because Colt wussied and doesn't sell to civvies anymore.
Someone thought it made them more valuable than the overpriced $650 or so they used to be.
It's a stripped down bargain model from anywhere else, it just has a different logo stamped on the side.

Bought a couple of these when nobody was buying them at $650. Worth every penny.

I've just walked into this conversation. What's the deal with Colt?

Colt no longer produces rifles of any kind for the civilian market.

Sounds like Glock, as they will not sell weapons or even mags etc. to the public from their headquarters.

Nah - Colt has gone to a no civi sales strat regardless of the channel. At least Glock markets and sells to civis through distributors.

They jacked the price up $300 lol. They were 1000 (and still not worth it) a week ago.

A different vendor was selling those for $1000, Bereli Inc.

So, new inventory or is this one you pulled and wouldn't sell after the Colt announcement, even though people had already ordered? You going to sell this time or just let it sit then cancel the order weeks later with no notification? You people suck.
