The Gen2 PA10 receivers are functionally compatible with the Gen1 upper receivers, however we recommend matching Gen2 lowers to Gen2 uppers for best appearance.  There are external cosmetic differences when mixing Gen1 and Gen2 upper and lower receivers that some may not find appealing.  Gen1 lowers will be available in the future for those who want a cosmetic match.

After getting this kit, I hate to report that it is a loser. The front sight gas system is terrible and a big pain to get it fixed to an adjustable system. Also the handguard gets in the way of a decent scope and only an 18" barrel for the .308. Trigger springs were also terrible and the dust cover spring will gash you with how it was assembled. Definitely regret the purchase. They have another upper with a 20" barrel that I wish I would have seen before purchasing this one. You live and learn

Can anybody tell me if you can use a P80 receiver on this, I am not up to speed on the DPMS format vs.other formats or which one a PA 10 is for that matter. Thanks

Can't verify your specific question but I have heard that PSA PA10 parts don't usually fit well with other manufacturers.

$350 shipped on 6/4 (I didn't see this yesterday but I guess it's a day old). Has it ever been this cheap for a GEN 2 (or GEN 1 for that matter)?

Go to store and price is $20 higher than shown here.

For about the same price you can buy complete upper and complete lower and push two pins together and be ready to rock!

Although, it is good to build so you can better understand your firearm.

The AR 15 chambered in 7.62x39 is like a semiauto .30-30, and more compact then this beast. Shooting longer distances the .308 would definitely be better.

The PA10 has functioned well for me, despite some negative reviews online .

Is the 7.62x39 available from the same seller, or elsewhere? Thanks!

Yeah kinda sucks. I started a gen1 build last year. Now selling whole rifle in gen 2 version for 699$. I should of held out and waited. Oh well. Bought a barrel from them last month. 2 days later clearance barrel half price. That really sucked. Anyways. Now have it complete and need to load some ammo to take it out. Better not have any probs with it. 9mm version price is coming down so they can push the .45acp version. Prices on guns r really good right now.

They will refund you the price difference If that lower a price on an item within a given time after you bought it.

After returning two of these with unusable rough, out of spec chambers, I gave up and bought a DPMS.

Couldn't be happier!

I had issues with a kit I bought from them as well, a few of the pins were out of spec.

I have a 16" version of this kit. Not super impressed yet. I've only tried M80 ball ammo so that's a limitation, but groups are not good. Very HIGH recoil. Needs an adjustable gas block and a better compensator to be tamed. Jury is still out on accuracy.

Well dang. Not sure how much shipping will cost but I paid $599.99 just a couple weeks ago for this same kit. That was with free shipping though. I feel ripped off. Bought the PTAC lower they have for 79.99 right now for $99.99 + shipping. Threw the gun together last week, haven't shot it but looks great for a cheap .308 AR. With the current deals you can but lower and kit for $630 + shipping and FFL. I am about $735 in mine with out optics....... so at least you will be getting a better deal than me.
