Botach just gets better and better, a couple weeks ago I ordered a C2A1 NBC gask mask cartridge from them. The price was right and I was going to reglaze a ceramic sink, and full respiration is necessary, wasn't a job for a SCBA, but a gask mask with a chemical filter would suffice..... well normally.

What arrived was a C2A1 filter with this code: RFT94C008-017

The RFT is the facility where it was manufactured and the 94 is the date of manufacture.

1994 is 20 years ago and this should have never been sold to anyone.

C2A1 filters have a maximum shelf life of 10 years, and that's if they were stored properly. The filter was most likely surplus for the non IDF Israeli civilian program where the Israelis simply turn in outdated filters and exchange them for kits which by law must not be opened unless told to do so. (I always wondered where they end up, and I thought I got one, courtesy of Botach trying to pull a fast one at my expense)

If you decide to buy one of these bandages from them over this Amazon seller, even Shmueli Botach will think your a moron, as G-D only knows where Botach got their supply at, and they could be decades past expiration, just like the filter I bought from them.

I won't buy anything from botach since they cancelled all existing pmag orders and then sold pmags at the higher price once they got them in stock. That was a move out of the CTD playbook. F them.

Botachs single biggest issue is the 'is it in stock game', and they play this game FREQUENTLY for popular items.

The Botach 'is it in stock game' goes like this, ;

You order a 'In Stock' item, then three or four business days pass and you expect a shipping notice, instead they e-mail or call you to tell you the item is out of stock. (If you go to their site, the item will show in stock, and it will continue to show 'in stock' unless they discontinue selling the item. They sometimes do their as their modus operendi to try to substitute a similar item.

There are manufacturers like Vortex that find their goods sold at Botach and they will tell you in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS to not buy the item from them.

I'll end this long winded post with one tip on how to deal with Botach; If you absolutely MUST order from them, go to Ebay, type in Botach in the advanced seller search, then once you find them on Ebay; look for the item you want.

Ebay does not allow them to play the in stock game there, and at least on Ebay they list what's really in stock, and you'll get your item quickly. That's way better than getting a Botach not in stock telephone call, 4 business days after you order from them.

This is the only way to win if you play the Botach in stock game.

-Thanks for playing.-
