Doesn't have the peace to level off the buffer tube. Will be hard to work with a router. Have to make sure your level by eye....... So be carful.
I wouldn't try not much room this is a very basic beater jig that are sold cheap for a reason. Spend a little more and grab something along the lines of these it's a better bet. Otherwise your looking at a one maybe two time use as the metal is pretty cheap on this one. If your only doing one on a drill press it'll work but if you plan on using the jig regularly or semi regularly these are the way to go. they range between $70- $150

I've got this jig and have made several lowers from it. It's not fancy, but doesn't need a lot of machining because it uses huge drill bits to get the most of the metal out of the mag well. The top plate is soft so be careful when you're milling it out, but you can get replacements. Not the fanciest jig, but it certainly works.
