Just for shits and giggles I ordered this red dot and I also ordered a Firefield $20 red dot from Amazon https://tinyurl.com/yce22zjk... to compare them to one another.
I put the air gun on a Caldwell Stinger benchrest @ 30' and took ten shots each using H&N .22 Sniper Light pellets.
Using the Firefield $20 red dot I was able to break a pencil 6 out of 10 times
This CP red dot I was able to break a pencil 4 times. Both results surprised me.
Truth be told I was shocked I was able to even hit the dang pencil even one time with this POS air rifle and $20 red dots
Would I put this CP or Firefield on a centerfire rifle? No chance, but I would for a rimfire. My air rifle is for putting down squirrels that fall out of trees to put them down humanely, or for killing palm rats, which are aplenty.
Now that I'm done testing inexpensive red dots, I'll bring them both with me next time I go shooting, and tape them both to the bullseye and see how they fare being shot with 5.56, 6.8 .308 and .338
I'll take pictures and post them to this threat. Maybe they're bulletproof, if they survive I'll sell my MROs and use these exclusively. :)
These are great for finding the G-spot on a Chinese whores side ways cooter
I would just wait till Busnell does another rebate. I bought several TRS-25s for $30 a piece after rebate.
Chinese junk.
You would be better off throwing $20 in quarters at your intended target.
80 quarters in a sock is a more formidable weapon than eighty loose thrown quarters when throwed my friend, unless you leave them in the bank roll.
Ironic, isn't it? You can get a set of cheap back-up iron sights [in aluminum or polymer] for the same price THAT WILL ACTUALLY WORK *and* are more precise. But of course, those have no techy, mall ninja tactical glitz to them! ;-)
What if I don't fight a "small battle"? Will this sight suffice? I'm really looking for a "policing action" sight. Something larger than a "border skirmish" sight or a "insurgency" sight. But definitely smaller than a " regional war" sight. Thx!
This is The least expensive sight with a prism- A really great one. I'd take this over many higher dollar sights. CP is an Italian moniker for Ciero Patreic. This costs significantly more overseas. Highly recommend!
Been looking for a cheap red dot to throw on my .22 rodent control Benjamin Summit NP2 air rifle. (Had a PCP, but sold it, which was a mistake)
This air gun rifle's POI shifts wildly from shot to shot, and looking for a red dot that shifts it's POI just by looking at it, I'm thinking if I can get a cheap red dot thats also a piece of shit, to sync the two.
Thus far the best accuracy is when I spin around 5 times, blink my eyelids 14 times and take the shot with my eyes fully shut, and use the force to guide the H&N .22 pellets.
Getting tired of this routine and looking for the most inaccurate red dot to get in sync with this rifle.
Even tried putting on one of my ACOGs, MRO, RMR, Leupold and it's all the same, so a cheap $20 red dot is the Hail Mary before I use a chop saw and cut this air rifle to bits.
YOU'RE USING THE *WRONG* AMMO! Stop wasting $ on those spendy H&N high-zoot pellets and get yoursel' some Daisy or GAMO fodder! The cheap gun, cheap scope & cheap ammo ALL have to be in sync or you're doomed! X-D
First of all why don't you buy a real 22 LR Rifle that shoots accurate even with out a red dot on it . You buy some junk and if you put a $100.00 to $300.00 red dot on it it still would shoot like shit. You bashing a red dot and buying a garbage rifle.
Hello Mr. Bull's eye. I have this red dot mounted on my Glock 41 MOS, and I have had nothing but success with it. Experiences vary from firearm to firearm, but not everyone has the income or the need for something high dollar. I have would downvote you, but I wanted to give you cursory notice before I do something like that. Keep your tone civil and be kind.
Do you really have this mounted on your Glock?
it offers a wider view and quicker acquisition of the target, but it is heavier i bet.
Well, discharging a firearm in my home neighborhood would get me arrested, suppressed or not. I'm not a mall tactical ninja, I'm a retired US army soldier and don't really need schooling.
If you actually read my post it was being facetious, next time I'll type slower so you can keep up.
Bought for son's are pistol. Perfect size holds zero , well worth $19.99
you will not get much for that price except a quick trip to the garbage can.
For 19.99 I went ahead and purchased one to see what it looked like.
For the price it is not a bad sight.
It is small and light. The entire thing is polymer.
The dot is as good as anything I have seen in this price range and it seems solid enough for a cheap sight. I would not place it on my primary AR but it seems like it would be a nice sight for a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 or maybe a CZ Scorpion.
I will place it on a gun and let you guys know if it will hold zero. My normal rigs all have vortex strike eagles so this will be an interesting change in weight. I am not expecting much but for 19.99 it will be a fun test.
You lost me at "The entire thing is polymer"
Get a fieldsport red dot, they're about 20 on amazon and made not bad.
Have you tried it on a CZ Scorpion? If so does in cowitness with the factory iron sights?
***Edit, does NOT co-witness with the CZ scorpion. Seems like decent little sight though.
***Edit to the edit, broke after 2 uses. The brightness / on-off knob broke completely off and was just hanging by the wires. No hard bumps or knocks just sheared off. Probably had a hairline crack from manufacturing or handling.
