We shot the browning bulk and it shot great .
Don't blame Browning for 11 cents a round, blame our fellow gun "friends" below and others like them that are hoarding 100k and 200k of 22lr. 200k is enough to shoot 100 rounds every week for 38 years...how dumb.
100,000 round stash? 200,000 round stash? Congratulation fellers, but you might wanna keep that kind of info private. I aint the smartest man in the room but i'm thinkin this site is occasionally monitored by folks with a different agenda. Anyway, IMO, bull's-eye 99 is absolutely right. A cup of coffee doesnt cost a dime anymore, a gallon of gas doesnt cost 30 cents anymore, and DECENT .22lr is gonna run 7-10 cents a round (and more) from here on out. If you can find it cheaper, best be jumpin on that deal boys.
Browning is officially trying to raise the msrp of .22 ammo. Little late for that game Browning. If the new norm for .22 shells is 11 cents a round - plus shipping, you will continue to see Walmart shelves empty. Quite frankly you could see people keeping the .22 guns in the closet. Bad move Browning, and you should have no excuse to be short on supply, ever. This round is no different than the other hollow points folks. At this price, CCI Stingers or Remington Yellow Jackets are far superior.
Keeping 22 LR guns in the closet? I use mine regularly . To late in the game to start looking for cheap 22 LR . should of been stocking up for the last 2 to 3 years. No everyone was waiting for the 22 LR to come back down in price. That ship sailed. prices will continue to go up.
Obviously you haven't been to Walmart lately. That ship hasn't sailed buddy. The firearm price ship has sailed; not the ammo. You pay .11 a round, while I continue to pay .05 a round. I have over 100K rounds of the stuff, but still think guys like you will be just the justification the Brownings of the world are looking for.
Where did you find testing information that shows this round is no different than the other hollow points?
I don't have any testing reference, just know that there is only so much you can do to a 40 grain hollow point bullet in a .22 LR casing. Browning loves people like you to question this. Ever heard of a gimmick? In my opinion 1435 FPS in a 40 grain HP is ideal, but not to be sold as anything different than high velocity 22LR ammo. And I would love to see a velocity test done in comparison to the other hollow points out there - out of a standard .22 caliber rifle.
"Browning loves people like you to question this." - No, I am questioning the validity of your statements. You are making statements without data.
My point is regardless of the performance, don't try and make it seem so much more special than regular high velocity .22, just so you can charge more per round.
"My point is regardless of the performance" - The value of ammo is heavily based on its performance, so why would that factor ever be dismissed?
Blowing Smoke . You will be breathing this in to your lungs https://youtu.be/4QS06RaeTpg...
So it's optimized for the longer barrel of a carbine or rifle?
In for 11 boxes for free shipping - just ordered 5 boxes @ $9.99 from Academy so this seems to be a much better deal - never dealt w/these folks so we'll see what happens. Y'all have a good new year.
