You may get away with a plastic lower ok but the upper will not stand up to the punishment if you're trying to run a lot of rounds quickly through it. Now let's wait for which company will make a plastic slide semi auto if someone hasn't tried already.

Looks like it performs quite well to me. And how can you pass judgement on something you don’t have or never shot.

WARNING...if it looks and feels like it was made by Mattel toys then it most likely was...you get what you pay for...plenty of AR 15 Meltdown videos on youtube...don't trust your life with JUNK...500 constant rounds and these toys catch on fire and meltdown..why do you think China produced these toxic cancer birth defect causing guns that meltdown? Just another Trojan horse gift from China. https://youtu.be/BSizVpfqFtw...

Either way you look at it mr.thumbs down apparently you are novice as a polymer upper can't take the heat..it will melt..buy it mr thumbs down, go a head be my guest..I mean I wouldn't risk my life on a piece of plastic because I know what the end result...total failure..but I don't know mr thumbs down maybe you enjoy failure? LOL..As it is melting maybe you can throw it at your adversary? Hope you can throw well :)

Be careful ! I used them for 5 years and every gun ordered was a big hassle! If you want a good smooth transaction go with one of the many other companies. You will save some money and a lot of problems.

I cant speak for the quality of this AR. But I can speak for my experience with Sportsmans guide...

I bought a rifle from them years ago. No issue whatsoever. Many more other orders... No issues. Returned a few items that I didnt like. Easy and issue free return process. I took advantage of their 4 pay financing program multiple times... Perfect.

What issues have you had?

I have done business with SG for 5-6 years or more and all transactions have been flawless. Their prices to date, even on backorder, are staying the same on ammo as of today 3-31-20. Classic Firearms and others have Jacked their prices up to take advantage of the 'shortages on ammo'. F them. The panic buyers of food, guns, and ammo were ill prepared. Be smart, informed, and stocked always.

Junk, polymer uppers fail 1000x faster than an aluminum one. This is well documented, save your money and get something that will last

This is 1000% true. Polymer lowers are alright, but uppers will always fail. Stay away from ATI
