White Oak .224 Valkyrie 20″ Barrel, 1-7 Twist (Shilen)
This 20” .224 Valkyrie barrel is a medium contour barrel machined from a match grade Shilen 1-7 twist blank. This barrel has a 5/8×24 threaded muzzle and weighs in at 2.99 pounds. The barrel uses a gas system length 1″ longer than standard rifle length. The 1-7 twist will handle the factory loaded 90 gr. projectiles for excellent long range performance.
This barrel includes custom fluting. White Oak Armory barrels are used in m any competitions and this is a $500.00 Barrel!!!!!!

Love that you guys changed it, this rifle seems awesome
So you used a Rifle Length Gas + 1" on a Very High Quality 20" barrel(AWESOME) and then you put it in a gun with a Carbine length Buffer Tube with a Carbine Buffer and one of the lightest carbine stocks available(WTF?) Totally counter productive for a 1000 yard capable gun. Or do you see your customers clearing rooms and hallways on what you consider a CQB gun with a 20" barrel? Who is your target audience with this?
Hello, Thanks for your input on this Rifle. I am not sure what percentage of enthusiasts shoot 1,000 yards or clear rooms. Most plink at personal ranges or gun clubs with 300 yard limits. Its still fun to have a extremely accurate rifle so you get tighter groups than your friends. I understand your point and maybe a Luth AR MBA-1 would be a good upgrade. My personal opinion is that a Magpul PRS may be too heavy (and/or too expensive) for some shooters. That's the great thing about the AR platform, its easy to make upgrades and personalize them to your specific wants and needs. We are happy to make any changes and custom build rifles exactly the way our customers want them. To check myself I just googled 20 inch barrel AR's with Carbine Buffer tubes and found many army (and canadian army) rifles and other enthusiasts are running them with no problems.
$1140 for a rifle you need to upgrade day 1, got it! Or was that $1140 for a 1000yd capable round that's between $.50 and $1.50 each to "plink" at the range with out to 300(easily done with 5.56 at less than 1/2 the cost)? Using your logic you should have put a 7'5" .224 barrel on it and called it a day.
We changed this rifle to now include a Rifle Length Buffer tube and a Luth-AR adjustable Rifle Length fixed Stock. Thanks again for taking the time to give your feedback. If any of our customers prefer the shorter and lighter stock (Predator Hunters for example), we will be happy to make that change for them.
