Smith & Wesson’s new M&P SHIELD™ is a slim, concealable, lightweight, striker-fired polymer pistol. From the pistol’s easily concealed one-inch profile to its optimized 18-degree grip angle, the M&P SHIELD offers professional-grade features that provide consumers with simple operation and reliable performance. Chambered in 9mm for proven stopping power, the M&P SHIELD features a high-strength polymer frame with a black, durable, corrosion resistant finish, coated stainless steel slide and barrel. Both models are standard with a 3.1-inch barrel, which contributes to an overall length of 6.1 inches and an unloaded weight of 19 ounces. For fast tracking and smooth target acquisition, the M&P SHIELD is standard with a 5.3-inch sight radius and has been enhanced with a short, consistent trigger pull measuring 6.5 pounds. Featuring a quick and audible reset made possible by the striker-fired action, the M&P SHIELD allows multiple rounds to be placed on target both consistently and accurately.

Love mine. Disappears under most clothing. Very light weight. Also fairly ergonomic, even for those of us with medium large hands. This is about the price I got mine.

Grabbed one. I don't mind the LCI. Thanks.

The LCI can limit which holsters you choose to use. Some holsters end right where the LCI is and cause an issue.

Are you speaking from first hand experience because it seems like any holster that clears the front sight would clear the LCI.

Those holsters should have a bigger problem with the sights. Do you agree?

This is a solid price and I for one like the "loaded" indicator.

The only difference is the loaded chamber indicator!

Can somebody explain to me what the difference is with this CA model? I live in CA... unfortunately..

Differences include the LCI and a magazine drop safety. This model does not do microstamping. What is microstamping? See here:

I have seen the gun the loaded indicator does not effect the sight picture!

Thanks! I expected this was the case. Sometimes modifications get rushed into market. S&W can usually be trusted though. I don't live in California so I can't go to my local gun shop or gun range and see/shoot it. Your input is appreciated.

I'm a little concerned about the tactile chamber loaded indicator. Not because I don't like the feature..I do. It seem to pop up a little too high in the pictures I've seen. Might it interfere with the sights or reflect light? I couldn't find a shooting review on you-tube for the Cali version.

From what I've heard, this will not be resubmitted for drop-testing for the CA roster. I should do more research before stating this, but it's what I've heard. I'm very tempted to pick up this Shield model since I already have the full-sized 9mm version and wouldn't mine having its baby brother around...

Does that mean they'll renew this model on the roster? Cuz it's about to expire...

If this was not the CA model, I would have bought it along with the new 4" XDS I just ordered from KGC. Good deal, nonetheless.

Went from $359 to $329 w/ Free Shipping in less than a day...

That's what happens when you keep your money in your wallet and product sits on shelves.

Too bad it's the Pelosi model. I'd buy one if it wasn't.

It's not always that easy, but I'll give you a thumbs-up for that one.

Carry my 9mm Shield every day.

Why is this here? The same gun was posted yesterday for $344 shipped and still in stock How is this a deal?

https://gun.deals/product/smith-and-wesson-mp9-shield-9mm-31-8rd-black-34499-shipped-free-lower-48...

Someone needs to worry less about thumbing up shitty deals and more about keeping the best prices, the only prices. Sucker Club?

You're going to have a stroke. Really.

This is the "California Compliant" model with a loaded chamber indicator. Do you have a better deal on this exact model?

No stroke buddy, but you're right. Sorry. I was stationed in California for 6 years. Since I've been gone for almost 8 I forgot the rules pertaining to living as an overtaxed, helicopter governed slave. I've lived in free states since and forgot the need to differentiate between "California legal" and basic common sense models. My mistake.
