FWIW, its only one example. I am not denying that others have had issues. But I have used their LCP II 15 rd mag for a couple of years without a problem.

Spend the extra money and get good mags the first time because you will have to replace these.

These indeed suck something fierce. They coat their sh*tty springs in grease in an attempt to make them function. Oh yeah, the base plates do fall off without some tweaking with needle nose, leaving you now with a single shot semi auto once the mag spills its guts. Went back in the trash where promag should have left it.

Promag is garbage. The only aftermarket magazine manufacturers I would trust, not including 1911 mags, are mecgar and Magpul. Prices are getting cheaper, so why not get good mags or OEM?

Promag magazines are horribly unreliable. Don't know how they're still in business. Even for range use they suck.

It's well worth it to spend a little more and avoid these magazines unless your a glutton for punishment.

In regards to my first comment, I bought all new S&W parts from Midwayusa.com (which are pretty cheap there) and replaced the ProMag parts (except for the steel tube) and those parts seem to work better.

I bought 2 of these. The baseplate popped off the first round I shot out of it.

As a rule, I am not a fan of ProMag however I got a few of these last month and they are actually really good. No where near the quality of the unobtanium S&W mags, but have put about 500 rounds through them without a failure. If you want some range mags, these aren't a bad option.
