I own a 10/22 and was seriously considering a 702 at one time. I don't think there's much of an accuracy difference between them but the 702 had a lot of reliability issues with jams (you can read more by searching the forums). Also, the 25rd mags are hard to find. You can use the 715 mags in this rifle since the 715 is just a 702 made to look like an AR15. Again, hard to come by. If you want a much better rifle (IMHO) than this for less than $2 more get the Marlin 795. It's $151.77 with free shipping. The shipping on the 702 from Lanbo's was $15 for me so shipped price of $150. The 795 has microgroove rifling for better out-of-box accuracy than the 10/22 and probably the 702. I use to have a 795 and I can confirm it was more accurate than my 10/22. The 795 25rd mags are cheap, reliable, and easily found (pro-mag at sportsman's guide). Another bonus is that the 795 has sling studs pre-installed. Also, the 795 is made in the USA while the 702 is made in Brazil. I regretted selling that rifle until I came across an old Marlin 60 in a pawn shop for $75. Now I'm a happy camper.

Thanks for posting OP but you can get these at Walmart for $107 all day long. Only a deal if you live far away from one.
Wish the Walmarts in our town sold guns. None of them do in Canton OH.
Because of Kalifornia bureaucracy, Walmart does not sell guns at all in that state.
So how much better is the ruger 10/22 accuracy reliability wise than this? Coes i could care less about looks or popularity and at half the price is it half the gun? Anyone own either or both?
