Please Note: We have received these rifles from several different suppliers over the years. They were all sealed with cosmoline to prevent rust and corrosion, so expect to spend some time removing this oily substance. The lot we are currently shipping from includes ONLY the rifle, sling, bayonet, and mag pouch as pictured above.
The Russians modernized their model 1891 rifle into what would become one of the most successful military arms the world has ever known! I got two Mosins from ImpactGuns a few weeks ago. Both of them are in spectacular condition. They were $150 each.
Just my 2cents... ive bought tons of Mosins... and the only ones that are always damn near museum quality are the ones i get from AIM...second best is Wideners. its sad that 130+ is the new standard for Mosins... I remember just a few years back at gun shows...60$ and dig through the pile to find one you like.
IMHO Bud's doesn't know how to grade guns & usually over rates them.
What about the ones at centerfire systems?
Does it make a difference who distributes them?
They cost over $30 more at centerfire systems.
I bought one of these from Bud's last month and the buttstock plate, sling mounts and receiver bolts were rusted to hell. This month i gambled again and got one from AIM surplus and it looks neatly new compared to the turd form Bud's.
I haven't dealt with Bud's, let alone for a Mosin, but the $99 "shooter grade" MN that I got from AIM a few weeks ago is in fantastic shape. Wood is damn near perfect, bore is clean and bright, no rust what-so-ever. It's a gorgeous rifle!
AIM over buds any day for a Mosin. Been very happy with AIM's C&R stock.
agreed i bought one last month too which was suppose to be in excellent condition. It was a piece of shit !! rust and bluing missing all over. If thats what they call excellent i can only imagine what very good looks like !!
