If you are left handed, get this https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0B6WGW4ZV...
(Or the better steel for $5 more) instead and gain a left-handed capable sheath.

Great knives, super sharp. You must keep clean and oiled though as they'll rust. I have several and they sharpen well too.

Same price as 3 years ago? Funny what isn’t going up in price. Anything related to their green agenda is UP. Beef, chicken, pigs, ICE cars, ICE car parts, etc. Everything else? Same price.

21 June 2022: These knives have been less expensive when I first got on this forum what 8 something years ago now. I'm talking like $6.99 at times. These knives are good quality and a bargain at $10. My suggestion is get the carbon steel model so you can force a patina on it by experimenting with vinegar, mustard, lime juice, acids (use ventilation and gloves/goggles) and caution when acid etching. The orange handle model allows you to see where you have dropped it of course. My suggestion is to explore the Mora website and the Hultafors website.

5 May 2020 bought one for 9.99 on Amazon had a few points ended up paying $6 I'm not sure you can get a better deal in a knife. I'm going to attempt to wear it out.
5 June 2021 experimented with PATINA!!! Wow these carbon steel Morakniv are fun to put a pattern on. Hot Lime juice in a glass for a few hours will turn blade a nice shade of grey. Dab the blade with a cotton ball soaked with French's Mustard put it on thick leave it for an hour come back. Wipe it off then swirl mustard across it with a cotton tip swab. If you want leave some of the carbon steel blade as is don't put any mustard there but dab it in other places. You can get some strange unique patterns this way. Use a food safe oil on these blades if you are going to use it on food. I use an oil called "Black Currant Seed Oil" no particular reason other than it's food safe.

I have stuck smaller carbon steel blades into a lime for a day or so. Beautiful.
And yes Darkavenger, always face it down. Have three stiches on middle finger after reaching for it tip up. (Ex wife dishwasher incident.) Great knives for the price and love the rough spine.

I bought one of these carbon steel knives to use as a camping knife but for some reason, it got left out in the kitchen, and for the past 10 months, we've been using it as our primary kitchen knife. It's developed a natural patina and looks gnarly, but it functions well for cutting meats, veggies, etc. I've sharpened it a total of three times since then and it is extremely sharp. I can easily shave the hairs off of my arm with it with little effort. Even though the blade is a little thick, due to the very sharp edge, my wife actually likes it over her other kitchen knives for general use. So yeah, these are great knives and an excellent bargain. And yes, it does rust if left wet, but all we do is put it in a drying rack tip down and the water drains off of it with no problem.

By far Morakniv knives are some of the best blades for the price! Well worth the measly few bucks. Yes some blades are high carbon steel, which is what's best for good, sharp edge retention, and will rust but you just need to keep clean and oiled. Just like any other good tool. My Skinner made short work of my buck last year and hope it'll do the same this season. I own 4 Morakniv's in different styles. Given a few as gifts too. Highly recommend

Great blades. Have been using this particular model for work now for a year and it’s rock solid. Very sharp despite hard use.

It will rust. Just saying. Good cheap blade.

It’s a high carbon steel, what would you expect?

Being high carbon, you can force a patina by soaking it in vinegar or strong coffee. Will probably need a quick sharpening after.

Still, like you said, good cheap blade.
