I have both the Bushmaster and PA dots. They are pretty much identical, except the controls are located on opposite sides of the housing. PA puts their dot intensity control on the right side, where the Bushmaster is on the left.

Also, I can not see the Bushmaster dot at all until I'm at level 4, and then even indoors I'm at 10 before it's good and bright. The PA dot I have is useable at all levels. To be fair, I may have a bad Bushmaster unit.

Last the Bushmaster came with the quick disconnect base, where my PA base has a thumbscrew (quick disconnect was optional). They do have the exact same mounting pattern however, so as others have said I believe the internals and everything else are identical on these dots.

I have both also. I got the Primary Arms (PA) Black Friday special purchase one for $59. This bushmaster one looks almost identical (quick detach mount is slightly different). I think the primary arms is better, but this one isn't horrible. They have same housing, but this one I can notice glue around the lens so seems cheaper made. They describe it as 3.5 moa, but dot looks almost identical to the PA. Also, like someone else said you can't see the dot till you get to level 5 out of 11, which is weird. Time will tell how durable it is and how well it holds a zero, but I'm using on 15-22 so I'm not as concerned about it holding up.

I changed my mind on this little red dot. I forgot that I wanted to try a micro optic on my tactical sks and thought this was cheap enough to see if I liked it or not. I have low expectations for it but I've wasted money on dumber things before.

i thought about ordering this to set on top of my 715t but decided against it... if I were going to pay $53 to have this shipped to my door I'd rather pay $79.99 to have the TRS-25 shipped to my door from eBay. I didn't get either of these those I picked up a UTG Leapers Golden Image red dot from Optics Planet, it was only $35 shipped and had excellent reviews everywhere I read about it.

TMS RT5H Review: I received mine in the mail yesterday. To me, it appears identical to a primary arms micro at about half the price. This unit is not marked Bushmaster anywhere on the optic. As others have stated it is a TMS-RT5H optic and all the markings and packaging indicate this. The web has good and bad reviews on this optic so read up. Agreed, this is no Eotech but it is useful when paired to a specific gun & sighted in for use with a 22LR conversion kit, for example - it works great. Running it with a 22LR kit has been my primary use for this optic having QD and not wanted to adjust my higher end optics and re-site guns while running a similar optic. Everyone loves shooting the plastic targets this way and it is a great training method so it has it use for me. I have run my PA Micro for a while and it is GTG for me in 22LR, .223 & 7.62 so I assume this unit will be fine also…

Spend a few more bucks and go with Primary Arms if you want a decent budget micro RDS. Just my 2 pennies.

So, I read these comments last night and spent the whole night and day researching this red dot sight online. My conclusion: I Canceled my order....

It is absolutely disgusting what these US companies try to pawn off on their consumers. Cheap Chinese airsoft crap marked as Bushmaster. I know its only 50 bucks but to me this is a joke and will keep me far from purchasing any bushmaster products in the future.

Some companies that do this include: Lucid; claims to be US product but all parts made over seas, Primary arms; same deal, Blackhawk, 5.11....Buyer be fucking ware, do your research.

P.S.- Wondering why there are no jobs or reasonable pay in the USA (see above).

I hear what you are saying, but the reason is simple. Big Labor.

The amazon reviews were not very flattering. It sounds like this would be great for airsoft, but will not work so well on a real gun. Glad I cancelled my order!

Any word on who makes these? I cancelled my order when I saw Vortex Strikefires on sale. When I cancelled, I asked the sales guy about the origin of these. He didn't give me any specifics. 53.00 is alot to spend on a paper weight.

I also compared this to the primary arms red dot. They are exactly the same down to every detail. I wish Bushmaster would post some specs. The picture shows it with a riser, but it is not mentioned in the description. Does anyone have any input on this red dot? Is it Bushmster branded? I ordered one and it came to 53.00 shipped.

Almost bought the Primary Arms micro dot for $59 during black friday. I wish I knew who makes this but with the QD mount and $44 price tag, I couldn't pass it up. If I don't like it, I will send it back. I couldn't get any products from their site to load to the shopping cart on chrome or IE so i called and placed a phone order. $56 shipped is a great deal.

their site was just really slow on chrome. anyhow i ordered that and a troy rear site, really good prices.

this finishes my spikes dissipator, perfect setup on the cheap.

I've been thinking about picking one of these up. Has anyone used this model from Bushmaster? It looks very similar to the Primary Arms model.

Primary Arms sold their red dots for $59 during black Friday with a statement that they had a bunch of them left over from a deal witha "well known company to include on their complete rifles but sold all their inventory during the panic last year so the package never came together". I could speculate that perhaps it was a deal that fell through with Bushmaster and I wouldn't be surprised if Bushmaster just skipped PA and went straight to the manufacturer of these to offer under their own brand name. I have 2 of the PA black friday dots and they look very very similar right down to the lens covers and even the throw arm on the QD.

those show up from time to time. They have been sold under the konus brand, sig brand and on amazon as tms and probably a few other names. Not a bad little red dot for the money. I gave one branded as tms as a christmas gift last year. It's still working on m4 clone that sees a few hundred rounds a month.
