The number of ar shoppers that own a drill press is relatively low.
Tolerance stacking is a bitch. I hate the cheap forged lowers that i have to mate to a specfic upper to accept the widest assortment of mags.
Outside of colt the only lowers i've found that will accept the widest assortment of mags with any of my uppers are mega, yhm and stag. They all tend to hover at the 100 dollar price point.
If you only have pmags and aluminum g.i. mags those sub 75 forged lowers are awesome. If your like me and have over a dozen brands of different mags the extra coin is worth it for a lower that works with the widest assortment of different brands of mags.
Too many reasons why this is a deal. Finish is flawless. Fits a upper's pivot pin stud perfectly giving a tight, solid feeling rifle. Gator grip looks and feels terrific.LPK installs easily because machining is flawless. The company is terrific. We get what we pay for. I'd pay 99 bucks any day for this lower knowing I'm getting the best quality.

Just cant justify a $99 forged upper these days. Yes, it has the "uber fancy" tensioning screw but honestly you can do that with a drill press and a tap in about 5 minutes on a lower that doesn't have that feature.
