The $3k price tag does take a lot of attention away from the technology here. 3.5 pounds is insane. I have a 14.5 Bcm lightweight Recce. Even with swapping stock and steel components for lightweight options it’s still weighs in just under 6 pounds. I’d love to have a complete set-up that’s compact for the backcountry and weighs in around 4.5 pounds. Unfortunately this is not compact so they missed a big part of the “lite” strategy IMO. Typically those wanting lite will also want compact or ability to “compact”. They did go with a great trigger although no aubible reset which is a bit annoying.

Maybe naysayers miss the point. Could be an exercise in what can be done to shed lbs., experimental shit costs, not this much, but it costs. USAF Museum nearby where I live is a larger scale testimony to what *can* be done, if money is no object. Airborne SFO’s might appreciate the weight savings in exchange for a few more magazines, but I’m spitballing, that’s just a wild ass guess.

Carved out of a solid block of unobtanium at a price that makes sense, this is exactly what I need, said no one, ever.

Besides all the other common sense comments about this overpriced garbage, fuck buying anything from Cali.

I truthfully see no use in this rifle. Like none. ESPECIALLY at this price. If weight is such a huge factor, either pick up a Glock 40 MOS (light, compact, affordable, and probably as accuarate as that thing above) or just quit whining about a few extra pounds on a tried and true "normal" AR (think reliability, parts commonality, recoil, durability).

I generally don’t throw shade on other shooters choices, but this one is a real challenge.

Could build so much more for that price...

If your battle rifle has to be 3 1-2 lbs you need to go to the gym.

They just jacked it up another $300 in response to our posts........So let me think.....do I want TWO LWRC, BCM, DD, Noveske etc etc etc.....or ONE THIS.......

Ironically enough (however unlikely) if they slashed the prices on these by 50%, suddenly these would go screaming out the door cause of the now “perceived value” just like the RP9.

Sure, not the same crowd that bought those dumpster fires for $189 a year ago, but each class has its naysayers turned fan once their price expection and perceived value intersect.

another STUPID solution to a non existent problem built with an A2 length tube on a 16" barrel? I can't count the DUMB on this one but at $2800 it was approximately $280 each for the 10 DUMBASS ideas that created it. To put this COST in perspective - It's the same as the latest greatest GEN-3 NOVESKE 14.5 or 16" battle rifle PLUS $1100!

Light weight with unnecessarily long handguard. Three extra clips of stupid included?

Yes, it is spendy and not interesting enough for me to pay that. However, recognize that cutting weight so drastically is expensive. This is almost half the weight of what other manufacturers call "lite". Materials, labor and engineering costs go up sharply to pull that off. Look around and you'll see $10k bicycles and $40k motorcycles that took that route. Like this rifle, you pay for radical weight drops. BTW, I suspect putting an ultra expensive optic isn't necessary. A light weight red dot may milk out all the precision such a lite rifle can deliver.

$3000 gun shown with a vortex optic, that by the way, is not included. I guess if you have the money to spend on this toy you will be putting another grand on top somehow. Saves on shipping weight.

Sub 4 lbs, Nice.

For $3000 though, should at least include that optic, lol.
