30-30 is too wimpy. This one time, at deer camp, a wayward young buck took an ill-advised snap shot at a charging squirrel. He missed, and I saw the bullet's rainbow-like trajectory as it headed straight for me. I timed it perfectly, counting "one Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi", braced myself against a slender birch tree, then blinked as the bullet made contact with my face. It struck my closed left eyelid and shattered into a thousand pieces.
I'm calling BS. Close enough you could see the squirrel and could even see the bullet that struck your eye? Never happened!
How are you seeing $399? It's $419 for me.
