The UBR 2.0 is an adjustable stock for the AR15/M4, designed to offer the same strength and stability as a fixed stock with a consistent and comfortable cheek weld in any position. An update of the revolutionary Utility/Battle Rifle (UBR) stock, the UBR 2.0 features a fixed cheek piece to provide a consistent cheek weld in any of its 8 positions, and is compatible with A5-length buffer systems. Designed to accommodate largebore AR calibers and withstand severe impacts, the UBR comes standard with front and rear QD sling attachment points, a recessed footman’s loop, the ergonomic MOE SL angled-toe rubber butt-pad, and storage compartment. Buffer tube included, compatible with A5- length springs and buffers as well as carbine springs and buffers (with included spacer).

Agreed. I have several Gen 1's because of the build quality, A5 tube, and balance they give to the typically imbalanced AR platform. They are super smooth and pleasant to use. I haven't used a Gen 2 but an ODG under $150 is a very good deal.
38 months ago I said it was too damn heavy. Gravity hasn't changed it's mind since then.
Can’t believe this is still even being made
It's just too damn heavy! I had UBR 1.0, and this one is just a minuscule amount lighter. Still too heavy for a backup rifle when humping along hills near Mexican border on a mule deer hunt.
Extremely good quality. And for those complaining about price, the buffer tube is included. A5 and carbine length springs and buffers work with included adapter. Perfect stock for someone with a single lower and multiple uppers.
SPN1025, it’s about cheek weld. He doesn’t want his face on the bare tube.
I have a gen1 and love it. Best collapsible stock you can buy. VERY rugged and solid. Doesn’t wiggle at all. Not sure about the gen2, but you could buy an aluminum strike plate for mine for butt-stroking lol
I don’t get your reply, Muffinman.
How would this be any different than a standard 6 position stock that adjusts on the buffer tube, for a tall person?? It looks like it adjusts to the same length.
As far as I can tell from the pics, it doesn’t adjust on the buffer tube AND that notch system on it.
The A5 buffer system is a bit longer, so it is supposed to give a recoil impulse more like a rifle vs a carbine. It handles larger calibers better as a result too.
Why is this $100 more than any other Magpul stock?
Because the stock itself adjusts rather than adjusting on the buffer tube? Is that really worth an extra $100?
The Gen 1 is actually superior but this is still a good stock. Those complaining about the weight are the same ones who buy titanium parts to shave ounces because their puny T-rex arms can't lift more than a soy latte to their man bun heads.
