September 2018 bought one for $6.55 shipped. I can see there is some discussion here about usefulness v. utility and beam brightness v distance. etc
This is a light designed for your tent and campsite. At maglite dot com you can get a tailswitch upgrade and an accessory pack cheap.
These are waterproof you can use them as a survival cache for matches, tinder, aspirin, benadryl or whatever you want to keep dry.
They do not get blazing hot like a Surefire Tac light (love my surefire) with a red lens they are great for not giving away a position.
Just a thought

Some of the comments below are hilarious. This is just a flashlight.....a rock solid American made flashlight. It's not a super cool range ninja Uber expensive ultra bright MLOC/Pic Rail mounted tactical light.
And if a 100 yard beam isn't bright enough for you, they sell LED upgrade kits for Maglites.

LMAO, beam distance, is measured in FEET vice YARDS in the write up, on the package it's in meters, 96 meters, just picked up a Klarus XT11GT, 402 meters, so over 4 times the distance. About 7 times the cost.

Maybe updating the bulb to a LED would help it.

Disclaimer, I have a 21 year old one of these I leave it in the truck, it still works, checked it the other day. Well built, just VERY dated.

That was true, back in the day. Now it's LED with LONGGGG runtime, maybe a couple brightness settings, and a size and weight that's reasonable.
