The new DI rifle has now hit LWRC's shelf! Built from the ground up this LWRCI is a completely new Direct Impingement rifle featuring many of the same high performance attributes found in its popular Gas Piston - Luxury AR line up.
The LWRCI-DI was born out of the U.S. Military M4 PIP program that called for longer barrel life, ambi charging handle and safety, more reliable bolt carrier group and user configurable floating rail system. The LWRCI-DI excels on all counts, offering their customers an advanced DI rifle at a price that will surprise you. It is truly a "Step-Up" from the basic direct impingement rifles on the market.

$1310 is a really decent price for a fully Ambi riflle. I love ambi bolt catch and release.
The hand guard and the upper receiver is machined perfectly together. The accuracy is one to behold.
This is a great deal for a LWRC rifle.
Well This rifle does have some “extra” features tho: 1. Heavy profiled/flutes barrel; 2. The bolt carrier key is integrally machined in place. And 3. The lower is completely ambidextrous including the bolt release/catch. I think the 3rd is the most significant to me.
That being said the lowest price this was found a couple years ago was about 1k.
why is it that a manufacturer makes a plain old milspec type AR15 that has no special parts and or features, yet they think said rifle is worth 2-3 times any other basic rifle that most likely has some of the exact same parts such as upper and lower recievers? Unless the conpany directly manufactures their own upper and lowers, those parts are made by just a handful of forging and milling manufacturers. Alot of the same uppers and lowers are all made by the same folks in which they purchase the blanks then brand them... I think theres 4-5 companies making lowers for all the off the shelve brands like Ruger, Springfield, delton, radical, spikes, DPMS, and most small off the wall AR manufacturers.

Agreed, this isn't Mil-spec at all due to: spiral fluted barrel, free float handguard, extended integral upper received, upgraded furniture, NiB coated trigger, tensioning screw on the lower received, NiB coated BCG with one-piece integral gas key, fully ambi lower, enlarged trigger guard
In what world is this rifle “plain old mild-spec?” Just because an AR is direct-impingement doesn’t mean it’s plain. I get where the question is coming from, but do some research on LWRC and then compare how their ARs are manufactured and assembled compared to something from Anderson or PSA.
As of 11/16/2022 the price in cart is $1433.56 not $1310.99 w/o tax and shipping.
