In my experience these aren't worth using. I have seen and worked with them. The polymer is ugly, pins walk out easily, and they don't save much weight. The stock on this is the worst i've handled.

Does anyone know if New Frontier Armory upgraded the takedown pins? If not, does anyone have a recommendation on a pair of quality, inexpensive takedown pins?

Thanks. Good to know. I am actually waiting to see if the complete lower without buffer, stock, etc can be had for under $75. Maybe Black Friday..?

Thats my next buy too, NFA lower with part installed for under $75 shipped. I may buy two. I would get a few complete lowers if they could be had for $110 again, because that weak commercial stock just isnt worth all that much to me.

New Frontier recommends only using "Mil-Spec" buffers, yet they ship their complete lower with some kind of paint ball kit. It just doesn't make sense, especially with the UTG "Mil-Spec" kit being $50. I bought my New Frontier Armory Polymer Lower Receiver with Lower Parts Kit at $125 and added the UTG "Mil-Spec" stock. Really decent for the money. Currently $95 at:

Once they hit $75 with shipping, I am in for more.

Palmetto state has blackhawk kits for 32ish with the milspeck stock assembly plus an ergo grip

Botach had (or has?) the UTG Mil-Spec buffer tube kit for $40 shipped.
But, I would rather spend the extra $20 and get a Bravo Company (BCM) kit. For one, the BCM is T7075, instead of the inferior metal of the UTG. Though, on a polymer build, a UTG tube isn't going to be the weak point anyway.

I completely agree with using the 6061 and the polymer lower. This makes a great truck gun, plinking about gun, and try-to-build-for-under-$500 gun.
For SHTF, it's an A2 with Anderson lower and genuine Colt buffer tube.

I'm a huge fan of the polymer lower and polymer parts kit. Amazingly light when using aluminum mags. When New Frontier finally starts using "Mil-Spec" buffer tubes and stocks, they will have a helluva piece.

Omni lowers are not that good. Tried mine with different uppers - feeding problems with all of them.

ATI just doesn't seem to be serious about their polymers.

they break under moderate use. Mine went tits up at 1500 rounds.

Over 2000 rounds through my lower with no problems.
The only problem I have had is the spring in my UTG "Mil-Spec" stock kit needed replacing after 800 rounds.
