Biggest pile of junk you'll ever buy! I ordered 3 sets of these and can't complete a working lower between the 3 sets. So far I'm gonna have to order 3 take down pins and a pivot pin and a buffer retainer and a disconnector! I have to pry the take down pins out or drive out with a hammer! If you like junk this is for you

Did you contact them or just grab a beer and start kicking the dog and beating the wife?
From reading below: my guess is this is what happened to you

We can gladly swap the kit, I believe you got a Ar10 kit by mistake.

Ordered one kit and they said it’d take 2-3 business days to process. 5 business days later I emailed them asking for an update and suddenly I had a text saying it had shipped. Arrived within 2 days of shipping. It’s a decent kit. But the mag catch had a burin it so I’ve got to file it down. Aside from that it’s a great kit. Just a few hiccups here and there.

*They quickly shipped out my charging handle that was overlooked, all is good. I will be ordering again from them.

UDATE II : Overall I am happy with their kit, everything fit together easily and tight. I did get a couple extra springs, which I didn't have to use this time(damn front detent spring). The only problem was the bolt catch, which I did grind down. Not sure why it was too thick, as I just built another Anderson lower with a different brand LPK. I would like my Charging handle sent though. I am sure they are extremely busy and it was just overlooked. Shipping was super fast to Ohio via USPS.

Update: Both Bolt carrier catch levers are to thick to fit into my Anderson arms lower. I am going to try to grind them down a bit. but not too happy about that :(

I just got my 2 kits today and everything looked very nice. But you did forget my charging handle. It was on the shipping list but not in the package. The usps "bag" was intact and not opened. I sent you an email with my order number.

I ordered 3 of these kits and they all seem very well put together and came with everything needed to finish my lower. However, putting in the takedown pins were extremely tight and I ended up losing one of the little pins. I ordered one of those easily lost and damaged parts kits and noticed the springs that came in that were a hair shorter, and went together way easier. I'm sure the ones in this will work, but they are just very stiff.

Got my kit a couple days after ordering, during assembly, I noticed I was missing the buffer retaining detent. I contacted them and a shipping label was created and another detent mailed out the following day. Quality was decent and the only obvious sign of cheaping out was on the magazine release button. It has a cheap coating or anodizing. Rest is very decent quality, installed smoothly, and will be great for what I i tend on using it for, a beater piece of shit rifle that only a mother could love.

We can’t replace the receivers once sold out. We sell them faster than AREO can keep up with, plus it was a limited deal on what extra supply we had.

I just took delivery of one of the build kits from these guys and just as promised, everything was mil-spec and fit together. Shipping was speedy, packaging was awesome, and the gentleman on the phone was very helpful in answering the questions I had once it arrived in the mail. The parts are OEM wholesale, but they are sourced from the States (He couldn’t name drop)

After I got first one in the mail today and opened it, I decided to keep the second order I impulse bought. For the price this cannot be beaten.

Would there be any noticeable differences between this type of budget kit and something "enhanced" and more around $150? Is the trigger difference worth it? (I believe this is the only main difference, but not sure)

Wish there were some FDE kits...

UPDATE
The missing part came in the mail, however I never received an email response or update from BFD. Also, the part came from another company, not sure why, but all is good.
Thanks,

Cant recommend them at this point,
i purchased three of these lower build kits and one kit came missing a buffer tube, I've emailed them twice over two days and Black Rifle Depot has NOT responded to me.
I can't find a PHONE number to call.
They have time to post here, i'd like them to send me the missing part. so we shall see...

AERO is back ordered in receivers and can not keep up with orders right now. Once they get their orders and stock get caught up we will run that promotion again.

Yet now you have it for $82.90 ... what's that have to do with AERO being back-ordered/behind ?

Not knocking this company or their product. But I have seen the same prices at half a dozen normal AR parts carrying outlets online while building 6 different ARs in the last 5-6 weeks. I can't tell you quality or country of origin, as I don't use any mil-spec standard stuff in my builds, (well sometimes buffer tubes depending on what is wanted) My point is this is the "average price" for anyone who looks around. Not really a "deal" I will give a thumbs up to the company for monitoring the thread. Sounds like good customer service :)

Hey WeakSauce, what shops do you frequent when looking for AR components? I'm trying to start my first build (I want it under $600). Thanks!

Figured for the price it was worth giving a shot. My kit had missing parts and parts very far out of spec. Would not recommend

Decent kit. My only problem with it are the takedown pin detent springs are too long, odd I know but they're longer than any of the others I had on hand. The front one would not even allow the detent to be pushed far enough back to get the pin in. Fortunately I have an OOPS kit for lost springs and pins, so I used the springs from it.

Out of curiosity, what did you add to get to $100, to get free shipping? Or just the kit?

For the next time anyway. Probably just a set out of there AR10 pack in a mixup. I've gotten several kits through the yrs that were plus a pin and missing this etc. From different companies.

Just take your presision snips and clip them to the length you want, put the cut end to the inside, not against the detent, and you'll have no problems.

Couple this with a $50 lower, the $150 5.56 upper on SD, 70 buck bcg and 15 buck handle... $285 complete AR less shipping.

UPDATED: Wtf kinda crackhead math did I just do? Meant... obviously more.... Mc's right. I must've been tired or in a hurry. That being said, you can get the stock kit and lower kits elsewhere (apoc armory if they still got their sale atm) for on avg $10 less. Not much - but free shipping.

Ummm....No. You didn't add in the price of the kit advertised or a magazine or any kind of sights.

If you're getting this let me know if it's actually mil-spec cuz if it is I'm going to buy it
