Tier One Operator Catfight! it does have a $7 flash hider and a sh#tty $6 mag so the rest of the gun must be really bitchin'. LMT does use angel tears as a CNC lubricant which certainly adds to the price.

You're literally the biggest asshole I've ever seen posting on SG.

Your grammar, syntax and spelling is reallllllllllly bad, man.

Man your completely clueless.
1) comparing a Ruger or base Adams arms to a Lewis machine tool is idiotic. Every part including their barrels are built to a higher standard. Their rifles have been adopted by the British military and their .308 version is being used as a DMR sniper role by bristish infantry, various special operations units and also New Zealand just adopted this exact model.
2) $800 more you said well your wrong there to since you just shown us it's $400 more then your Ruger, that Adams arms is there compete base model. The quad rail, grip, stock and iron sights alone are worth $400 over what that Adams arms features Not to mention the parts used are inferior to a LMT. Your comparing apples to oranges on that one. Not to mention it's listed at 795 so still not quite 800 more like u said. Show us a comparing Adam arms and there over $1k.
3)this one is my favorite and shows how uneducated u are. You pull a stupid older CTD article u must be joking not to mention it says right in the article that 1 in 7 twist stabilizes 52gr to 77gr .... I wonder why colt, Daniel defense, LMT, LWRC, BCM, Barrett, spikes tactical, rainier arms, Midwest industries, POf, noveske and every good manufacturing company not to mention the military uses 1 in 7. Maybe because it the best option, 1 in 7 stabilizes your most common 55gr and 62gr bullet and you can ACTUALLY shoot a heavier bullet out of it if needed unlike a 1 in 9. The chrome lining comment is to long and your to stupid to even push into that debate with.

While your average weekend shooter doesn't need to pay the extra money for this higher quality rifle you coming out with these uneducated opinions doesn't change the fact that LMT is a far better rifle and thats why the rifle Costs more. I didn't even touch on all it has to offer like the quick change barrel system, 1 piece upper and rail etc etc etc DO some research on you own and you will find out what a quality rifle this is.
Lastly its 9 votes up vs 2 down (1 of which is you) so the vast majority disagree with your comment.
Go home squid your drunk

I think at $1300 this would be more reasonable. The proprietary upper/rail/barrel setup looks neat. But I don't see the point. Nonetheless, R&D money is there, so you're not getting a parts bin rifle with Adams kit thrown in.

Sorry- Milspec is just that. And this isn't. It's a piston AR which many others do (Ruger, Adams). For $800 more you're throwing money away. I mean it does have a lot of fancy features like "standard trigger", "bird-cage flash hider" and "mil-spec phosphate finish". It even has adjustable iron sights! It even has a twist rate (1 in 7) only suited for 77 grain bullets- which when you're overspending by this much, makes perfect sense to fire rounds at twice the price. Fortunately it also has a middle of the road barrel being "chrome"- which hurts accuracy, but lets you shoot corrosive ammo (which you probably can't find with 70-grain plus ammo). In other words, buy this rifle so all your friends know you've got more money than sense.

This is one of dumbest comments I've read on slick guns. Pretty much every statement he uttered is wrong.

You're an expert, obviously. I mean, you last comment on SG was "this rifle is trash wayyy better options for $600". And that was the entirety of it. For mine to be dumber than yours is simply not possible. And for it to be the dumbest you've read- you didn't read your own.

Not to help you, as you're hopeless, but any other reader, I'll give links to everything I said.
* Ruger Piston AR, $1179 http://tooeleshootingsupply.com/shop/ruger-sr-556vt-ar-15-rifle-gas-piston-5-56-nato-20-inch-heavy-barrel-a2-stock-black-finish-ruger-5914/...
* Adams Arms Piston AR, $749 http://www.southernshootersgunsandgear.com/product.adams-arms-carbine-556nato-16-black-6-pos-30-round-magazine-54...
Standard trigger, birdcage (i.e. A2) flash hider, and phosphate finish are standard for any AR, including the cheapest you can buy. Iron sights, the same, though these days, most people don't care and get rid of them, and use for backup. Look at any gun here: https://gun.deals/product/ar-15-rifles-under-600... and see the same.
Regarding ideal barrel twist. Look at http://blog.cheaperthandirt.com/ar-15-barrel-twist-explained/...
, but I'll quote: "If you are shooting long range, or want more penetration, you want a heavier bullet in the AR, such as a 62- or preferably a 77-grain. 62-grain bullets prefer a rate of twist around 1:8 and 77-grain bullets weights favor a 1:7 twist rate."
Therefore, this twist rate is best for 77 grain bullets- the most expensive you can buy. Looking at wikiarms.com, the cheapest 77 grain bullet I can find is 0.59, while cheap 55gr stuff is 0.23.
It isn't hard to find information that chrome lining hurts accuracy. Even easier, look for any 'accurized' AR and none of them are chrome lined. Chrome barrels last longer, at the expense of accuracy. Regarding my comment- chrome is middle of the road. It's the worst accuracy, but considered a better option than unlined, but worse than stainless or melonite.

There you go- pretty much every statement I typed (unlike my troll, I don't speak as I type) is correct. Though to the pedantic, 59c is more than twice the 23c I use above.

OMG, the New Zealand Special Forces use this!!!!111! Mall cops everywhere, rejoice! Finally some justification.

Dude, don't get me wrong. I think you should buy it. Refer to my OP, " In other words, buy this rifle so all your friends know you've got more money than sense."

Actually its the new zealand armed forces as a whole that are switching over to LMT. Alot of law enforcement agencies in europe are evaluating or in the process of adopting this rifle as well, the finns appear to be the first using it
