Just got mine in the mail today. It was packed ok, not much cushioning, just some extra butcher paper in the box, but the scope was sealed and in brand new condition. I hope you sent yours back for an exchange, cause this was a great deal!

I get $479.99 - 20% ($96)=$383.99 - $80 rebate = $303.99 not $240, am I missing something?
Is this a good deal for this glass? It looks like it is selling for half the price listed everywhere else.
Beware: Dick's unfair business practices. I purchased this item from Dick's a few days ago and received it today. I was very disappointed because: 1) This scope came in a large box with no popcorn in it. Dick's shipping department must be smoking something if they send $479 dollar optics (before the sale price applies) in a box with no cushioning. 2) The Leupold box the scope was packaged in at the factory has been previously opened. The sticky strips that hold the top and the bottom of the Leupold box were cut. 3) The scope is showing the signs of previous use and was apparently a return. I have heard of Dick's unfair business practices before. Needless to say, Dick's has lost a customer today.
