Description

Put A Folding Stock On Any AR-Pattern Rifle! Law Tactical's steel adapter enables installation of a folding stock on any AR-15 to create a smaller-profile rifle for easy deployment from a vehicle or transport in non-permissive environments. Works with standard gas impingement OR gas piston system. Accepts A2, mil-spec M4-style, and commercial carbine receiver extension tube and almost any stock that fits them. Compatible with all standard bolt carrier groups, including full-auto and .308 size. Single-button operation for quick folding and unfolding and steel locking latch keeps stock securely in place when extended. Gen3-M has a lowered hinge to avoid interference when charging the weapon, and a setscrew keeps the adapter securely affixed to the receiver. Hinge tension is adjustable so you can choose how stiff the folding mechanism is. Includes special bolt carrier extension (no tools to install/remove). Current version utilizes standard buffer retaining pin and spring. Stock adapter features Ionbond DLC coating.

Specs

Yes, with an adapter in place of the BCG weight.

Go to Primary Arm and buy a 17 Dezign lower with integrated foldable adapter already made from the factory for $199... its cheaper and thinner then adding a law to your reciever

The 17 Design requires a proprietary buffer, cannot use standard or mil-spec or the JP silent captured spring I got

Great to turn an AR pistol into a backpacking gun. Is LAW tactical the first to design this folding stock adapter? If they are, there's a reason for them the price theirs so high is the R&D used to create it. Everyone else simply reverse engineer it and sell it for a fraction of the price. I've seen so many replica BCM and Raptor charging handles at 1/4 the price of a real one and you can tell the build quality isn't quite there but you get what you pay for.

For something like this is it worth the price?

Its very heavy for what it is. And exspensive. I regret buying mine.

You’re better off just buying the one from Sylvan Arms and paying $100 less.

Can someone explain this to me?

If you need to conceal, you can split an AR in half in about 4 seconds and it would make a smaller lengthwise footprint.. Same time to put it together.

Guess I'm not an oper8r. Good luck out there LARPers

And here I was in 2003-2004 in Iraq with my M16A2 musket, getting in and out of HMMWVs just fine. If only I knew I could install an expensive device that made my rifle smaller. Inoperable, sure, but portability > functionality. All the real operators say so.

This is a $250 device that literally renders your rifle inoperable when used. I've never understood why anyone would want one of these.

I don't remember who I got my LT folder from, but I had a screw fall out at the range. I emailed the company and they sent out a replacement free of charge. This is simply the best product and the best service. 5 stars.

I'm glad you had a good experience, and I don't say this to personally attack you, but -as consumers- when mailing a screw is the bar we set for customer service on a $250 AR accessory (esp. one that isn't an optic or a wml)...we're f-kd.

When I sold my worthless LT folder, it was missing the spring.I attempted to contact them several times to buy a new spring.I received ZERO replies.
Worthless product,& HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I'm seeing $249.99 + $4.95 S&H - $20.00 (XAC) = $234.94 Am I missing something?

220 to make your stock fold? It would be cheaper to bend my sba3 and then buy a new one when I feel like retracting it.

Does anyone know if this will work on an AR9? Specifically a PSA AR9

If you have the type of bolt that has the removable weight in the back center of the bolt then yes. The part in the picture that has the o-rings on it plugs into the back of the bolt so as long as you can remove the weight (and removing the weight does not change the length of the bolt) then this will work. I had to order new bolts for my AR9 and AR45, but both of them work flawlessly with it.

@all the ppl saying it's worth 30 of under 100...you clearly have never used one AND OR you have never used literally any other option. They're all crap. Law's is perfect. Holds up, works really well, easy to install. There is a reason it's spendy and that's due to it being the only good one on the market AND the quality/durability. All the 30-150 options out there break easily. Your "it's worth 30 dollar" comments just make you look stupid.

I'd be in at 100. It's not worth 220 to me.

People who call this a $30 part are insane. Obviously they’ve never used one or touched one. It’s worth every bit of $220 and more. Also think about what it does and what it could do if it failed. Stick to airsoft parts range warrior.

Machining steel is a lot harder and takes a lot longer to do them Aluminum, I have had the aluminum one of the competing brand (copy) And its junk, The aluminum locking lug on it broke the 4th time I closed it. That is why Law tac Makes this in steel instead. A cnc machine could make 20 to 100 of these in aluminum in the time it takes to make one steel, Need to take that into account. If anything the other brand is way over priced being as its made of Aluminum and not near as well.

Why act like a stubborn old man instead of just agreeing with someone who does this for a living?

Coming from a machinist.. more like 3:1 not 20:1 or laughably 100:1 you'd have to make it out of stellite

3 votes
0 votes

Yeah right, The speed you can run on aluminum, With the far less tool changes would be 20 to 100 times. And the aluminum ones are not all machined like the law's. The speed you would cut the Hardened steel law Tacticals at would be easy 20 times slower, Then with the added many more tool changes, Being ignorant is not a plus!

I will trust the machinist's ratio post instead of yours. Like you said, being ignorant is not a plus. I think a machinist knows the machining times of metals better than you do.

I just don't want one bad enough to pay $100+ too much for it...
like most i'd get one at $75-$100 but not at $200

$199 is the best price I’ve seen on this so far for the year. It’s been reposted as a deal at $209-219 numerous times.

2 votes
0 votes

As much as I want one, I just can't get on board with that price. I have no problem paying a premium for a quality American-made product. With that being said, it's worth probably $75, so I would pay $100-150 for it. Over $200 is just absurd. I'd rather just buy an upper receiver or tax stamp on a suppressor than have the novelty of a folding stock on my pistol for $200+.

Shark Tank would lose their shit, or maybe they'd get a deal given the potentially insane margins.

Anyone use this on a .300 build? I worry the extra pressure might blow it to bits.
