Cheap China POS, broke after one shot with low brass. If they keep advertising it, i will keep commenting on it.

Hey genius, it was not advertised as a pistol light. The ad said illuminator, nothing about pistols. The only illuminators that I have had any experience with were mounted on rifles, not pistols. https://www.amazon.com/LASER-GENETICS-SUBZERO-DESIGNATOR-ILLUMINATOR/dp/B00DS7QO52... You run that c*ck holster wide open, even though you dont have a clue what you are talking about.

Page 2 of the Manual. Designed with a quick
release picatinny (5/8”) rail mount these units can be used on
pistols, assault rifles, and assault shotguns
Here is a link to the PDF manual from the manufacturer online. So it may say "pistol" from the retailer, but the manufacturer claims it can be used on anything. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/B1NBkY7IsnS.pdf...

In the
MANUAL it says pistol, rifle, shotgun. So what now?

15 megawatts? If true, the laser might be a better weapon than your firearm, however, I am assuming they mean 15 milliwatts; this measurement can only be used to understand the power of the laser, and it doesn't mean anything for the flashlight portion.

The flashlight portion should instead state 'lumens' (how bright it is), 'throw' (how far the light goes), and 'flood' (size of beam at X distance).

Please stop reposting this item. It's been the same price for close to a year now and can be had for this price any day of the week. Gdeals is going to shit with the constant reposting of everyday items that aren't on sale or a special.

Save your money ! This high price pos is bulky, heavy, brakes easily, and the optics suck! ADE makes a slimmer model with better optics , and better built . The ADE illuminator goes for $55 on ebay.

Housing is made from pot metal. I put this on a shotgun to use on varmints at night around the farm and it broke on the FIRST round from a 12 gauge. Not a 3 or 3 1/2 in magnum goose load, a 2 3/4 low brass bulk pack. What a POS.

73 Corbin, I'd try one on a 3.5" magnum shotgun if I were you, Might work Great!

We arent hard of reading, we got it the first time you posted about it breaking eight months ago, no need to keep posting the same complaint. In all fairness, this device isnt really meant for a shotgun and works fine on my AR

You obviously have some kind of impairment because the post that i made prior to this was just about buying it, not about it breaking. Who memorizes members ramblings on this junk? You must have some vested interest in this item, or you are the sensitive type that doesn't like anyone badmouthing some trinket that you have hung on your "battle rifle". I failed to see any disclaimer from the manufacturer about it not being meant for use on shotguns. I doubt it could withstand the recoil of some of the bigger revolvers, it is typical china quality.

You failed to see any disclaimers about this PISTOL light not being meant for shotguns?!? You do realize a 12 gauge shotgun is not even the same category of weapon as a pistol? No disclaimers needed. You are the guy who sued McDonalds because the hot coffee was hot, aren't ya?

FYI, bike tires are not rated for automobile use, Tupperware should not be used over an open camp fire flame, you should not eat aluminum cans, knives are sharp, water is wet, and this is not made for a 12 gauge. Anything else you need help with?

This reminds me of the time I used to work wholesale: we had this dude who came in at least 10 times exchanging a Klein 10-in-1 screwdriver (they carry a lifetime warranty). Guy was legit upset upset every time he came in because Klein didn't expressly forbid using a light duty multipurpose screwdriver as a FUCKING CHISEL. Yes, a two pound hammer and a hollow shanked plastic grip last about as long as a pistol accessory with 54 pounds of recoil.....

They didn't memorize it, and you're lashing out without looking around you. If you scroll down this comment feed, you'll find that the thread contains each comment that you've posted on this item from this seller for this price. This person is just pointing out that you're spamming the feed with the same story and that their personal experience with a different firearm yielded a different result. I'm no physicist specializing in propulsion, but it stands to reason that something could be tough enough for 5.56 NATO, 300 BLK, or whatever this person runs in their AR, but not 12 gauge shotguns, even those loaded with 2 3/4 low-brass #8 birdshot rather than 3" magnum slugs. The foot-pounds of energy from recoil applied to the accessory are known to be higher on one of those things.

To your point on specified caliber/gauge, I agree. If only that had specification of what kind of weapon the ND-3P was for, maybe if the P stood for pistol! And then, they could make am ND-3AR for rifles and post it on their website. Then people would finally understand what each of these models is for! (This is all the case and, no, I wouldn't expect the manufacturer to account for any given BFR in this equation, no matter how cool this would make your 45-70 handcannon)

I see 5 or so people in this comment section who use this on other similar platforms and don't appear to have issues, though a few of those do note the fragility. I also have a sneaking suspicion that this might be a relabeled BSD situation. Based on that, I won't be making a purchase, but you won't catch me diving to ad hominem or hamfistedly stuffing the words "battle rifle" into anyone's mouth over it.

Thanks for your review and info, but you can keep the snotty outbursts and lack of understanding of context.

Made from pot metal. I put this on a 12 ga to use to kill pests around the farm at night and it lasted exactly ONE round. Not a 3in magnum, just a #8 shot bulk pack low brass field load. The mount sheared off. Worthless junk.

Lockup on rail is loose, even when adjusting the fragile QD lever to a very tight locking position. Zeroing the laser to an optic serves little purpose other than getting you in the ballpark. Another problem was the battery loosing connection due to recoil. I really wanted to love this product after pulling it from it's nice protective case. It functioned well enough for me to keep it for a $60 range toy but it's not a reliable enough to depend on it for security/protection purposes. UPDATE: dead after a few times shooting with it. pretty sad recoil from a 5.56 killed this. customer service is a joke through Academy, they couldn't find my order and lied about another team looking into it further and calling me back... all after first trying to send me to the manufacturer which isn't an option without proof of purchase. I would avoid buying one of these

Light output: 15 megawatts

LOL

A nuclear power plant producing 500MW would only be able to power 33 of these things.

I ordered one the last time on sale. Very cool little device. I haven't hunted with it yet but It's fragility, noted by another commenter, is a concern. It's worth the price though IMO.

15 megawatts of power?! Not sure a cr123a can do all that...

I bought one to put on a shotgun for use around the farm at night. After using it I might end up putting it on a rifle to hunt coyotes at night. It lights up a target a LONG way off and being green it does not ruin your night vision like a white light will.

Update. It lasted ONE round on the shotgun. Broke off and fell to the ground with a single low brass shotshell.

So what does the green dot light size look like at 100yards? I'm looking for something to run at night time for aid in quick target acquisition.

At its largest maybe 10-15 feet, at its smallest maybe basketball to beach ball sized.

The QD mechanism is very fragile. I would recommend using the screw adjustment to tighten and assume a semi-permanent mount. I ordered 2, broke 1 with just a couple of pounds of pressure and was very careful with the other. The laser itself is great.

I purchased it back in July and am very happy with it. The beam is not the greatest light indoors as it casts a very narrow beam (basketball sized at 10-15 feet) but the reflected light does make the entire room glow green clear enough to see everything without hurting your night vision. Probably would not blind someone light a bright white LED does either. Outdoors is where it really shines as the beam travels extremely far with a very slow growth rate. At it's narrowest the light works like laser and the entire beam is visible at dust and darker. I mounted to my cz scorpion and can hit a 10" gong hip firing, using the light as my point of aim at 50 yards with 100 percent hit rate. At it's widest setting you can clearly identify a medium sized animal at 100 yards at the dead of night. Note this thing is massive if you plan to mount on a pistol.

Fifty yards from the hip is pretty impressive whether it's broad daylight, lowlight evening or nighttime.

For $60, take the chance! I did and am very happy. This unit has replaced the combo white light and green laser on my AR. This is essentially a beefy green laser with a diffuser lens. When focused to its narrowest, you see a very bright and bold green dot that is bigger than other lasers but still small enough to deliver lead on target using the green laser dot only. When night time rolls around, you adjust the beam out to its widest and it becomes a night vision device that gives you a green beam that doesn't startle game, travels much further than and doesn't reflect like white light, and illuminates your scope's field of view. I've seen this same product for a lot more money, $250-399, other places. IMHO its not worth that much but is a steal for $60
