Looks like a easy barrel install with that nut no need to align for gas tube. Just torque it down done

At least 8 weeks for mlok

Just as FYI for anyone curious about wait times. I just ordered ultimate upper kit with 13" mlok rail and called larue to get an idea on wait time. I was advised that ultimate upper kits are usually 6 to 8 weeks time frame to ship but that the mlok would probably be a little longer as they are not in stock and mlok rails are still in production. I'm looking forward to it and not bothered by an informed delay. Just letting you all know info regarding time frame.

Yes. The day I get it I will post some larue stealth mlok photos as I searched deep and could not find a single photo of a larue mlok rail anywhere.

I am in process of putting together an mlok kit.
LaRue said 6-8 weeks. It turned out to be more like 3 weeks. Still waiting for lower.

Not much to say about the mlok handguard. It is what it is. I also have a MI G3 mlok and not much difference.
I am not too happy with the finish on the upper receiver.
It looks chalky and faded. I rubbed some oil on it and that helped. I was expecting a better finish quality.

Post up about yours when you get it in.

In for one of these in 556, was hoping their 18 inch barrel was rifle length but from what I can find it isn’t so ended up with a 16, killer deal non the less. Grabbing a PSA lower and am good to go.

For the question if 18" stealth would be the most accurate barrel length/ profile, my experience is that the accuracy difference between 16" and 18" or 18" and 20" inside of 200 or even 300yds ranges between immeasurable and insignificant.

More measurable and realistic variances occur in items such as trigger selection, scope selection, bipod or rest if applicable. Those things will affect your accuracy way more than 2" of barrel length. Ammo selection or variances will cause more variation than your barrel length or profile on a premium quality barrel. I say don't even worry about it.

For a bench rest shooter, heavier weight will be your friend. If your carrying it all day (hunting on foot), or swinging it around (fast moving drills) weight will be your enemy.

High round counts and high heat will degrade accuracy sooner with a lighter weight profile. I don't like pencil weight barrels but have found light to medium weight (around .625 or .650 minimum under the handguard) (think larue predatAR, or Faxon gunner type profiles)to be the sweetpoint of still being lightweight but having enough mass to instill confidence. Don't be afraid of those saying that groups open up with lighter profiles. It is true but shouldn't be a deal breaker. For anything other than measuring smallest group sizes, opening from 1 moa to 2 or even 3 moa is not going to make you miss ringing a 6" or 8" steel plate and will not make you miss a body target, even if small like a coyote. Basically, pick the weight and length you want based on your use. Larue is a great choice for a barrel and I don't think that any concern over barrel length is needed. Just my .02 is having built and shot many heavy rifles, for anything not sitting on a bench, the lighter weight serves me better.

In the context of comparing the 2 Larue profiles, the stealth profile and the predatAR will both begin with the same accuracy if shot side to side. As the short term round count increases and barrels start to heat up there will be a point where if all else is equal, the lighter profile will start to have it's accuracy degrade sooner but to a minimal degree. The amount of degradation due to heat build up is lessened by 2 factors, by having more mass and a heavier profile, and through proper stress relief. The barrel manufacturing process becomes even more critical when discussing lighter profile barrels. A well made barrel such as Larue will potentially show less accuracy degradation due to heat buildup than a poorly made barrel with a moderately heavier profile.

I am thinking about getting the stealth in 18”. Is that the most accurate barrel and how accurate is it with regular ammo like AE stuffs?

Good deal. Great items. Mlok is available as option in drop down menu. I'm almost sold and will likely purchase 1 kit with the 13" mlok rail.

Breaking it down to its components I see it as 99 for trigger, 99 for polymer kit, 600 for the complete upper, which I see as a great deal.

I love the mbt trigger and have purchased at least 9 of them so far. I've convinced many to do the same as I'm unaware of a better 2 stage trigger. As long as it remains at sale price of 99 or even $125 I will keep buying and recommending the triggers. IMO is better than SSA and at least equal to SSA-E.

For any unsure about the different barrel profiles, the predatAR barrel is the lightweight version using .625 gas block(approx. 27oz 16"). The stealth is a medium to heavyweight profile with .750 barrel (37oz 16").

Great Job LaRue for supporting democrat thugs and going against the 2nd amendment and wanting to give up our rights all so you can continue to profit of the Govt. "Larue supports banning bump fire stocks" see military arms IG for more info.

You have binary triggers and not a plastic POS Bump Stock and you're BITCHING LIKE A BITCH because LaRue offers a KILLER DEAL on 90% complete rifle? F@CK YOU!

How is this a killer deal? Because they mark up their rifles to 2000?

Wow, really? Guess my next SPR build won't be using a Stealth barrel after all. I don't even like bump stocks, but FUDDs don't like ARs either, we all gotta stick together against the Grabbers incremental encroachments.

NRA just admitting taking $ from 23 RUSSIAN Oligarch's to fund 5 x Draft Dodging COWARD TRAITOR Trumps campaign......so when you say STICK TOGETHER you mean in Syberia right? Can I get a "Merica"! Guessing you never served a single day like bone spurs magoo you support.

I thought keymod was dead?

Only thing that sucks is having a very nice ar with a lower and upper that are different shades of FDE. Not that it matters but I'm anal about that kinda thing...

You can get it in black for $792. It's an extra 100 to get it coated in fde

that price is in black not fde. if you want fde it's $99 more. would be nice if a stripped lower was a option with the kit. still a good deal for a LaRue.

So is this just missing a stripped lower receiver?
Nice looking AR, not sure if I like the keymod though.

I like Keymod! I have magpul, quad rail, m-lok, and keymod. A properly machined keymod rail requires NOTHING to attach accessories. All others require a mount, bracket, or screws adding complication and weight. I like the keymod but stay with quality brands (LaRue) because I have seen crappy keymod rails that won't work properly for accessories.

Lol, I just set up an account to say this. If you get a kit you can purchase a lower for $199. They can paint it for free, just takes time, FDE or UDE
