Slick Picatinny (SAT) Handguards

Top of the morning to all y’all !!

Here’s all the beer math you’re gonna need …

Our new Affordable Overkill ™ handguard line is launching today at a penny per 0.001” = $10 an inch.

The 10.0 models are … $100.00, etc. Yes, before you ask, the 12.0 models are $120.00, it’s that easy.

Why ? Because there are several million shall we say “inexpensive” ARs out in American rifle owner’s hands that would look and handle a lot better with the simple installation of a new handguard.
Knowing the guys that went “inexpensive” weren’t going to spend a lot of dough to upgrade their basic AR, I had my team make up a nice line of Affordable Overkill ™ handguards.
The SAT and the LAT … in several lengths that are sure to fit the bill. Consider this your nudge to become an AR mechanic. It’s a hobby tens of thousands of guys already do and easy as 1,2,3. Here's just one of the many how-to videos https://youtu.be/rK4XzPll9U8...

Be advised, I’m launching today at $10 an inch, but will watch as we run them and get better production times/data, and will likely adjust higher mid-summer. But maybe not if our machine shop beer math is right.

One other thing, since a handguard would church up your rifle, a new Best-of-Class 2-stage trigger would church it up even better. So, when ordering one of these new handguards, there’s a drop-down for a new MBT trigger sale priced at $80 (a steal). We sold 27,000 MBT triggers between July 1st last year to Christmas. It’s the hottest trigger on the market and crushing our competition. “Conan, what is best in life?” ;-)

Anyhow, that’s it, more descriptions on the links above.

Enjoy your new race gun.

Does anyone know what the ID is? I need a 7” that will clear a linear comp or suppressor

Big shout-out to Larue for not jacking up the prices. Wish the barrel nut and outer ring were smaller so the handguard could look cleaner.

I am a Larue fan, and love the mounting system of the stealth upper/handguard. I've been wanting to buy this rail for over 1 year, but was waiting in hopes that Larue would add weights to their website. They still have not. In the meantime ive continued to order handguards from other vendors that do realize weight is a consideration in purchase for many of us. There is a big difference in feel between a 12" rail weighing 8 ozs and one weighing 13 ozs, especially on a pistol or even lighter weight rifle build. LARUE, I know you read these comments on occasion. Please add weights for your handguards. This is coming from a dedicated Larue customer with multiple uppers, numerous mounts, and over 20 larue triggers purchased recently for customers. I'd do the same with these handguards if I knew the weight.

Great.

A 4th mounting format.

This is getting stupid.

It's Mlok and Picatinny rail? What is the other mounting system you are referencing?

Keymod

They don't show a keymod rail? They show 2 mounting systems that have been in use for a few years (MLOK) and picatinny (decades). What is the new mounting system you mention because they don't have keymod?

1. Picatinny
2. Keymod
3. MLOK
4. Lok-a-Tinny

This represents a 4th mounting format.

What am I missing here?

Lok-a-tinny is MLOK and Picatinny combined on one rail?

It refers to their proprietary barrel nut that is two pins and a locking anti-slip plate. It's a normal mlok railed handguard. The way the barrel nut mounts is the unique feature.

Thought these looked a hair expensive. How are they better than any other handguard, better materials or same? Better coating or same?

The ad starts by saying many rifles and handguards are not very good...why are these better than Aero, and how? haha

Also, what are the dimensions and do they come with all attachment hardware, nuts, bolts, etc? What is the finish? Is it flat or slick?

I have their 13.2 inch quad rail. It's a solid rail. I don't have experience with these advertised rails, but they use the same mounting method. I bought the set second hand, and it came with everything (barrel nut and all the hardware needed to mount). Finish looks like anodized aluminum (same finish as my receiver set).

Does anyone know the interior dimension? I want to have the hand guard cover part of the suppressor and not able to find the interior diameter anywhere on their site. Thanks.

I have their 13.2 inch quad rail. It's mounted already, so it's hard for me to get an exact measurement. The quad rail has approximately 1 1/8" inside diameter.

Thanks Cville. Just saw your reply on this deal re-post. I sent LaRue two emails asking about the dimensions but never heard back from them. Guess they were too busy. I spent my money with Midwest Industries. Very solid product.

Looks cool. Still like the cheese grater style for simplicity though.
